I just got off the phone with a friend and she wanted my help planning a last minute trip (4/13-4/18). She is 55yo but she has a bad back and can't ride rides. She has never been to Florida. I asked her what she wanted to do and she said "something relaxing, something educational or fun." She is staying offsite not possible to stay onsite this a tight budget trip. She physically cannot do the parks everyday. She will have a car. It will be just her and a girlfriend no kids. Okay I'd love to hear any ideas :flower: TIA

Maybe she should consider using a motorized wheelchair to ease the strain on her back. Walking on concrete can be a killer on the lower back. I think she could rent one at one park and by taking the placcard with her, get another at a different park, if she'd park hop, without paying extra. It was that way with regular wheelchairs.

There are some attractions that are more back-friendly than others; The Land comes to mind. Figment, if she can ride a moving conveyor belt. Spaceship Earth. The boat ride in Mexico.

The stage shows at the Studios and at Animal Kingdom. Oh and what about that presentation at the American pavillion?

Mickey's Philharmagic at MK. Small World if it's open. Even Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean should be OK. The train ride and the riverboat are back-friendly.

She might want to check out those tours at the Magic Kingdom as well.

Outside the parks, I don't know.

There are many places to visit in Orlando other than the theme parks like taking the boat up or down the St. Johns river out of Sanford,
visiting Celebration, Winter Park or other neighbouring towns for the day.
