Do we need a passport for this cruise? I have heard we do not because we get on off at the same port(Galveston), I just want to make sure we can still explore Nassau. Can anyone confirm this.
I appologize in advance for the long reply.
As I understand it, for our cruise if you are a US citizen and as long as you board the Wonder in Galveston and disembark the Wonder when it returns to Galveston regardless of the ports you visit you can get away with only having a Government-issued photo ID along with an original or copy of a state-issued birth certificate. The only thing you may want to think about is if something happens when you are not in the US and you are unable to return with the ship you are required to have a passport to fly back to the US. Hopefully this helps a bit. I would double check with Disney or your
travel agent. Fyi I found this info on
DCL's web site.
Disney Cruise Line has the following posted on their web site.
"The Bahamas
