Official March 2022 thread!

Our family will be there that week because we rescheduled a trip from late January due to Omicron. At the time it sounded like the best week into book.

I remember when I was rescheduling everyone, I checked the new price for tickets. The next day when I did the actual modification, I swear the price was higher by around $10 per ticket (three-day hoppers). I figured it was my error, but joked that maybe everyone was rescheduling to that week so Disney raised the price. Who knows?

Everybody is really excited and happy that they won’t have to mask anymore. We are prepared and have a good plan so I’m sure it will be a great time no matter what. 8-)

Still very excited, but just a little worried because my family will be there March 6-12. :scared: What are we missing here?
I am surprised about the crowds for our dates - March 6-9. Even the airfare is high! I chose that period because most spring breaks would occur later in the month, but it looks like that is not the case.

Like everyone else, I'm getting really nervous about crowds. Obviously we knew going over spring break that crowds would be high (we're used to being at WDW during this time), but the wait times over the past week are AWFUL. We've never experienced anything even close to that... 100+ minute waits on almost everything at DHS?!!

I'm gonna bring extra swimsuits, cuz we're probably going to be bailing on the parks a lot if all of these predictions are true :P
Right????
Perhaps Disney is finally reacting to all the negative publicity about crowds.
I don't think the higher ups at Disney care about crowds anymore.

The case positivity numbers are decreasing rapidly. We are Canadian and have to test negative to fly home so will probably still mask indoors/in crowds.

I think Mardi Gras being later this year has really thrown things off.

I caved and bought Genie+ for both my park days and will probably do ILLs as well. It makes me upset to have to do it but I am not spending my day in line.

We're not Canadians but I don't trust with the crowds that we'll be facing there won't be someone there that's COVID positive and/or unvaccinated so we'll be that other lone masked family and we'll wave at you ;)

I have a friend who traveled to Las Vegas after the vaccine was available to anyone. When asked what it was like in the Casinos she said "they had signs that said if you were vaccinated that masks were not req'd but if you were not vaccinated, masks were req'd. I'm so impressed, that 98% of people at the casinos were vaccinated!!" LOL That's stuck with me. I'll definitely continue to mask indoors because I've got some plans when we return and I don't want to miss those (as much as general desire to stay healthy). We don't dine indoors at home or at WDW for that matter (we stick to QS because our trips are short and we don't want to devote time to TS).

We've made some table service reservations but I've prepped everyone that we might not do them if we get there and feel uncomfortable about things. As you say there's plenty of QS available everywhere! We haven't dined indoors in two years so while it would be a nice treat...we'll see. Luckily both my kids are GREAT about mask wearing and have been trained at school even that mask is on if you're not biting into something or taking a drink.

Normally this would be my strategy too, but not sure how feasible it will be for my group since we're traveling with 4 families total. I wish we could all link up and I would plan for all of us, but G+ has a limit of 12 people in your planning party and we're 18 total :(

For anyone that has a stay at CBR, there will be some refurbishments to the Martinique pool and the play area in the main pool. It sounds like the water play area will open up at the end of March.

I am also getting super worried about crowd levels for our trip. I mean I knew it would be busy but the wait times I'm seeing daily are insane. We go the last week of March right in the thick of Spring breaks.

It dawned on me today. It's the last week of Feb. I nerd to order all the shirts in my etsy cart, like, today! That 3-4 week shipping turnaround is now cutting it dangerously close to my trip!

We will be there the week the Florida schools are on spring break so YEY us….. Given the family calendar, it was go then or don’t go at all. I watched this weekend’s wait times and G+ to get a sense of what we will be dealing with. We have teens, so will try to be in the parks till closing and take pool/resort/Disney spring breaks when the crowds are nuts. ;
For what it’s worth, my sister is there right now and said many of their waits have been lower than what’s posted…. I’ll remain hopeful, but we have adjusted our expectations about how many attractions we will see on a daily basis. Thankfully, we love old classics like the people over and carousel of progress, whose wait times should be more appealing

We'll be there March 5-11 and I booked that week last year hoping that F&G would be out by then - so our plans are to head to Epcot on our 2nd day, which is the FIRST SUNDAY of F&G...

ooomf...I feel like we're in for a CROWDY-DAY!

and Touring Plans has HS as a 10 out of a 10...

BUT, it's fine - its not our first trip, nor is it our last so we'll do what we can do!

we are spending 2 days at the dark side at the beginning of our spring break trip and they recently posted early entry for March- it is very generous- both US and IOA parks are included each day and Hagrid’s motorbike is included, which it normally isn’t- very pleased with that turn of events!

Wow- I thought this might happen since they did it at Christmas and it seemed well received. I guess this could be good in that it makes lightning lane passes last longer?
