Parking not free for resort guests anymore?

Curious I found this in regards to the parking:

A variety of parking options are available at Walt Disney World Resort, including preferred or standard parking at the theme parks and complimentary self-parking at Disney Springs, the water parks and all Resort hotels (for registered Guests).

Theme Parks

Guests pay one fee for a parking pass good all day at all 4 theme parks—Magic Kingdom park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. Our special preferred parking lots are located conveniently close to the theme park entrances.

Passholder Parking Standard self-parking is complimentary for Annual Passholders, Premium Passholders and Disney Premier Passport holders.

Resort Hotels

Standard self-parking at Resort hotels is complimentary for Resort Guests. Valet parking is available at select Disney Deluxe Resorts for $25 per day.

It appears that parking at the resort is free but parking at the parks is not.

Maybe the CM thought you were asking for preffered parking?

The rate depends on your vehicle type, but each theme park lot charges the same rate per day. Once you pay for the day, you may park at any of the other theme parks.

If you are a Guest of a Disney Resort hotel, you receive complimentary standard parking at Disney theme parks for the length of your Resort stay. You must present valid Disney Resort hotel identification to enter the parking lots. Complimentary standard parking is also included with select annual passes.
