And likewise, why is it that another party using an extra FP+ or two impacts anyone else's trip?
I just don't understand how people using rider swap within Disney's guidelines gets other people so very worked up.
I think because:
- It's not "another party", it is
many parties every day and it does impact other's trips when they are having to wait longer in the Standby line (again this was proven with the GAC/
DAS changes) because the FP+ line has priority.
- It also impacts everyone when a family is taking the high demand rides and boxing them in when guests who can't use RS are only allowed to FP+ one of those rides. This is going to get much worse.
We have to look beyond just our family, you have to multiply that by thousands each day.
The problem is that
NO ONE here knows what Disney guidelines truly are because even Disney themselves has varying information.
- Disney started this so families didn't have to wait in Standby twice, nothing to do with FastPass.
- Paper = 3 guests may return, website says only 2.
- Website says it's for anyone who doesn't want to ride, in person this has often been refused to anyone tall enough.
- Emails to guests lately have said everyone needs a FP+.
It would be nice if Disney had a published policy but it's a varied as FL weather.
Disney wants young families to start a family tradition and come back year after year. It's definitely part of their marketing strategy. A family who shows up one time with some teenage kids is unlikely to come back again.
Oh disagree here. Disney has proven over the last few years they place no value on repeat customers and it's been discussed often. They are looking for the naive customer willing to drop thousands and thousands, stay on property, buy the dining plan, book all the special events, shop like they sell Disney no where else. They don't care if they come back because the room will be filled with the next one with big pockets. The offsite guests are their bases, many who save so much on lodging they have a bigger pocketbook
Disney is adding more and more adult options, adding more and more alcohol, building a more adult Disney Springs, Disney After Hours, bigger and longer Food & Wine, Arts Festivals, RunDisney races ........... Disney wants adults and their money. Disney also doesn't want the older families heading over to the dark side.
