I am surprised we do not have to pay a booking fee just to use the website or pay for the app.I will be shocked if they don't charge an early booking fee.
I know, right.I am surprised we do not have to pay a booking fee just to use the website or pay for the app.
It most likely have to do with the changes to DAS system. Once it's in place they will have a better idea of how much Genie+ availability they have to work with.I disagree with the part that says you announce it mid May for a Mid to late June start date.
If you are going to do it, just do it. Don't annoy and upset all the people who are planning on going for the Memorial Day Holiday and after that. If they are going to enact it, make sure it starts before then. And you definitely don't announce it and say its after the summer, disappointing everyone in the summer.
Now if this entire thread is leading to them CHARGING to be able to book it early, then I couldn't care less about these changes and it will be just another negative greedy thing Disney does.
If they are going to do something. Simply just say " Starting tomorrow, or starting one week from today, we can prebook things. If the window itself most likely would be 7 days, or even less, that is the way to go.
This isn't a new ride. Its an app service that they have been talking about since May 2023 adding. You don't need to give a months notice. Just enact it and let people book what's available.
Honestly, I just want to stop getting up so damn early every day of my vacation to book something. I'd be happy if I can make them the day before at midnight.
Hopefully we get something.. soon
Right. We don't know anything yet.Seems like a bad idea to charge for early booking when they can just bake it into the inevitable price increase that’ll happen when the holidays roll in. So I think the latter is more likely, but who knows.
Don't give them any ideas!I am surprised we do not have to pay a booking fee just to use the website or pay for the app.
Since Disney has been crushing it in the PR department, I'm expecting a tiered system...Deluxe guests can pre-book at 10 days in advance, Moderates at 7 and Values at 3. Off-site stays unchanged. Really make peoples heads explode with a class system model, and fire up the Walt would be rolling over in his grave!
The deluxe hotels are the ones that are always sold out more often then the others when I go to book, so I don't think they need to do more to actually fill them thoughThis does not sound that crazy to me...they want to fill the Deluxe hotels and also want to push people to buy DVC Direct....so I can 100% see a system where those that qualify for the Extended Evening Hours now for Deluxe get an additional perk of this w the pre-booking.
Yes. I would too.Honestly, I just want to stop getting up so damn early every day of my vacation to book something. I'd be happy if I can make them the day before at midnight.

Perhaps minority, but not alone. For us, if they could make just one adjustment to the process, it would be to allow selecting a time period for return, like currently with ILLs and previously with the old FP+. That change would make the day much easier - and for as well as modify works, it would greatly reduce our need to use it. But we all have our pros and cons to G+! But we find the process to be more flexible during the day for what we want to do, including the ability to hold multiple LL reservations during the same time period - something FP+ never allowed. Again, pros and cons based on how different people do Disney differently!I may be the minority here, but I would love for no advance G+ selections to debut. Now that you can modify it is so much easier. Also watched a video of how a vlogger, on a busy day, slept in and still managed all the G+ attractions at HS!!
I love that there are no park reservations and no genie planning at this point….. would be super fab if for my next trip this late fall, we can wake up, decide where we want to go and do genie plus if we want to.
More hunger games competition to plan out every aspect of the trip for genie advance selections does not appeal to me.
I know this is a pipe dream but oh well, a girl can dream.
I remember and still think the paper FP was the best system we've had so far. The only thing we do now is Virtual Q's.When I see threads like this one, it brings back old threads where people were outdone if anyone dared suggest that Disney would make people pay for fast pass or a facsimile. Anyone else remember these heated debates? I always thought they were hilarious.
My legs were much younger then, and the passes went to the quickest legs on the bigger attractions! My legs would miss out on some stuff now.......I remember and still think the paper FP was the best system we've had so far. The only thing we do now is Virtual Q's.
Us too!!My legs were much younger then, and the passes went to the quickest legs on the bigger attractions! My legs would miss out on some stuff now.......
But you could only have 1 at a timeUs too!!
It must not have been that busy. Slinky was gone very early when we were there last week. I can see being able to get the rest of them at HS though.I may be the minority here, but I would love for no advance G+ selections to debut. Now that you can modify it is so much easier.
