Can you reliably take the skyliner from Riviera to HS for rope drop?

We took it twice this week for “rope drop” with no problems. We lined up at the Epcot station about 8:50, but they didn’t let anyone in until 9:05 each time ( not sure why 9:05 and not 9:00).
We were able to get to DHS, go through health check and security, scan in and get in line for MMRR by about 9:45- 9:50. We were able to get our RotR BGs before boarding Mickey & Minnies Railway. Once the parks start to get busier this strategy may or may not still work.
