Not sure what this has to do with disAbilities?
But I do want to point out that having stormtroopers is so inappropriate - and having them escort people out? Sounds like the holocaust. This is so uncool.
I think the OP posted this to give more information to people who need it ahead of time. When dealing with something as big as SWGE and all the hoopla and crowds that go along with it, the more knowledge, the better to help with planning. Some people love surprises, but for others, surprises are just another pitfall to be avoided, if possible. I appreciate the OP's helpfulness. Not sure what this has to do with disAbilities?..

*This* kind of Stormtrooper - from Star Wars.

They routinely march around the Studios now (including 'ol Phasma in her shiny suit) and interact with Guests.

Exactly why I posted it. People have been asking for months how DAS will be working once Star Wars Land opensI think the OP posted this to give more information to people who need it ahead of time. it belongs anywhere there is a need for such broad ranging information to be disseminated. some posters ONLY come to this board, and do not frequent the other sections.
as for your condemnation.. very few people are aware of the inspiration behind Stormtroopers. and Disney has been long known for its interactive aspect.. there has always been a plethora of Cast Members in character/costume interaction with the public. this is a much better way to encourage people to leave the area once their wrist bands have expired. less chance of an altercation with a stubborn family who think they can stay longer because they want to.
I too think they will use the FP line for DAS return time. My guess is at Disneyland when you have to have a reservation to be in the land you will be able to get your return time when it is your time in the land either getting the return time at the ride or some where else in the land. After this time if there is a wait to get into the land plan on waiting ( with the DAS) to get in.The current speculation I've heard is that the dedicated FP return line will be used for DAS, as FP won't be used when it opens, and that seems likely. No one's heard anything yet about where you can get the DAS, whether they'll be a CM near the line or a kiosk elsewhere inside the land.
I'm mostly worried about crowding, so it's nice to know that there's some quiet spots during CM previews, though I wonder how the number of guests during the previews compares to the numbers they're expecting for the reservation period.

I did do TSL and pandora opening and I was able to get a return time for the rides even when there was a line just to get in. Not sure if you do not want to do the rides
It was the same time as others in line I think it was 4 or 5 hours return time. If anything I waited longer then other guests that did the standby line. ( I heard the guest behind me say that the line went much faster then what was posted ) heard this from family that was there too and said the posted wait times was higher then the real wait, If I remember correctly the CM did both the time to get into the land and the ride itselfYou were able to get a DAS before you even got into the land? That doesn't seem right? How could you have your virtual spot in a queue if you haven't gone into the land to request the DAS? Isn't that unfair the to the guests ahead of you who actually wait?
thanks for the added information - that makes more sense. They should account for the time it takes to get into the land and get to the queue, as otherwise they could be shaving an hour's wait time off the DAS, which isn't what the DAS is intended for.It was the same time as others in line I think it was 4 or 5 hours return time. I find sometimes I do wait less time and sometimes more It will never be 100% fair. It is just how life is. I do Really go back at my return time some times ithanks for the added information - that makes more sense.
