I think this is the first episode where I didn't cry, but I loved the storytelling. There's so much pain, but beautifully told.
Was Jack just driving by and saw Kate skipping school

I think he left them in the car, along with his coffee cup, which Rebecca picked up while waiting for the kids at the hotel. My husband caught the detail about the coffee cup, I didn't.SO good!
This episode was fabulous!!!!!! I loved Dr. K, the tree, Jack's speech to the boys...
And Rebecca - telling Kate it was not her fault, and the boys to be kids, and Jack that they'll make it...
I'm glad the trailer said we're going to see more of Jack, but I'll still miss having an episode next week!
P.S. - Did Jack grab the tickets in the fire, too, or were they hidden in the glove box of the car?
That scene was real for me as well, after my first round of severe vertigo, before I saw a dizzy specialist, my gp sent me for an MRI to rule out a tumor or something in my brain. I had to wait a few days for my results though, not a few hours. The scene with the cancer scare was very real. I had a couple of days of worrying with DH about a mammogram in December. Thankfully, nothing, but I could feel the anxiety, the strength of having a husband to lean on as they waited for answers and then the relief.

The kids were what, 9 or 10 in that scene? Not out of the realm of possibility and she could have miscarried. That would have been awful since clearly they only have three kids and that scene wasn’t from present time.
