Who's ready for another adventure? Thats what we asked ourselves as we prepared for our 6th Disney cruise. This cruise we celebrate our 34th year of wedded bliss.
Allow me to introduce ourselves. I'm Mike/aka Underdog and my lovely bride of 34 years is Robin/ aka Tart Annihilator. (but you can call her Tart Girl)
heres a picture of us at the Akron airport. As you can see, i married waaaay out of my league.
A large group of we Dissers had dubbed this cruise BOB, for Bash on the Boat.
Many of us had been on a DCL cruise 2 years ago, known as the Konked Kruisers.
suitcases packed!! we're outta here!!
It was FRIDAY OCT 23rd.
We woke at 5:30 am...too excited to sleep!!
Arrived at Akron airport at 7:30.
Robin was a little paranoid that day because she called off work so we could get to the Port a day before the cruise. As luck would have it, her boss was returning from Florida that day, so i couldnt resist saying to Robin in the Akron (then the Orlando) airport, "isnt that your boss over there?"
Aboard the flight Robin kept trying to get me to try something called the "Mile High Club" but being the gentleman i am, i told her "No Means NO"
and the flight was without incident and we arrived safely in Orlando at 12:30 and headed straight to Budget rental car station.
I made a big mistake here that i'm still regretting. Budget offered me a Camaro for $20 extra and i declined. (seems Underdog is a little on the cheap side)
But we got a very nice Impala (which i drive at home) and we headed over to Port Canaveral.
If any of you guys are like us, you know the butterflies you get when you start seeing these signs as you get close.
Its become a tradition for Robin and i to play "Remember When" by LeeAnne Rhymes from a Disney cd when we cross the Banana River bridge.
