What other sites have tracked before?

RMN has tracked at Sam's Club for gift card purchases even though gift cards were excluded in the terms.

I've had mixed results with Rakuten and gift cards at shopDisney. Just two weeks ago, I made one click through Rakuten, then immediately made two separate purchases of $50 gift cards. One of the purchases tracked, the other did not. I don't know which one tracked.

I never understand when stores do things like that. If Sam's had such a limited amount of Disney gift cards, wouldn't it have made sense for them to limit it to one per person and have double the amount of people able to partake of their sale?

Before I spend $900 on Disney gift cards to apply to a January room-only reservation, what happens if you have to cancel your trip? I don't plan on it, but life happens sometimes. Do they issue new gift cards? Or do I hang onto the used ones?

I always hang on to the used ones until my purchase is complete.

Could be, I'll try again with one by itself and see what happens, although I've never had a GC track through Rakuten. I'll still get 5% for paying with paypal so not a total wash.

RMN is offering 6% cash back at BJ's. Offer terms state gift cards are excluded, but I've had luck with RMN tracking gift card purchases at other sites. We'll see how it goes.

Does tracked amount = you will 100% get the tracked amount of cashback? I had experience on other sites where they show full tracked but comes off after a few days because not eligible.

I've been using Rakuten since its origins as Ebates in the early 2000's and while they always 'reserve the right' to revoke a tracked amount, I have not had an instance where they have reverted my cashback. I have however had items that did not track suddenly appear weeks later! So I'd say its a very high probability if it tracks you will receive the amount stated.

Bought $250 on ShopDisney thru Rakuten, just tracked for $7.50, or 15% of $50 of the purchase. I always buy $25 gift cards, so maybe two of them tracked as valid purchases? I’ve had similar things happen in the past, which I find kind of odd because it feels like if they’re looking for GCs they should just catch it all and it should be all or nothing. My uneducated guess is that I’m buying different “styles” of Gift Cards and they are meant to stop gift cards but some don’t get caught as gift cards.

I've got a tale of caution regarding Visa gift cards, related to the Sam's deal. My order wouldn't go through.
ETA - I spoke with fraud specialist at Mygiftcardmall. I registered my Visa gift cards on their website as soon as I got home from purchasing them. Because they were registered to my name, address, and zip code, the charges on the account are pending, and money has not been released yet. The fraud specialist thought there was a good chance that the money won't be released, which will make the process much easier. They will just send me a new card with the balance attached. Definitely take the time to register your Visa and Mastercard gift cards.
