Vaccinated email went out, seems Disney sent out by accident.

Right now there’s two kinds of cruisers: The first ones are the ones that if they have any type of symptom (or actually have a fever and really do feel like crap ) will either test on their own if they happen to have a test with them and will follow up with the health services- or just go to get tested. If they test positive they will be quarantined and that process starts.

The second type other ones that will walk around the cruise coughing/ running nose/ headache because they “have a cold“ and will carry-on.

I am betting that Disney is betting on the second type because let’s be honest If we started random testing people on board and actually caught cases the crew would be overwhelmed with quarantined passengers.

My bets are based on what I’ve been reading in FB Cruise groups post cruise
Well I do agree people that don’t feel well should test, however I had Covid two months ago and still have a cough off and on because of it. No other symptoms feel completely normal but have random coughing fits. Sucks that now anytime someone coughs/sneezes we all assume they have Covid. I admit I also think the same thing at times.

every time I have allergies I think that about myself. If I'm fatigue or really off I will go to a doctor with Lupus I need to be extra safe been that way since diagnosed in 2018, but since that I've great felt healthier other ways

I was supposed to be on that cruise and the cruise today, but my dad and I moved the cruise to February since I have a autoimmune and mom was just really worried. Mom doesn't like cruises period. Sorry you couldn't go today. Was curious if anyone tested positive I know a lot of my friends were back-2-back
You made the right choice. There was a steady stream of people in the B2B testing tent who were being escorted away to the “quarantine trailers”.

My son and husband have been coughing off and on more since they had covid. I haven't had a cough since the 2nd or 3rd week. We get a lot of allergies here, so it could be that. However, my allergies are worse than theirs. I have read that the lungs will stay inflamed for a while, which can cause coughing. It's usually, hopefully, temporary damage that heals with time. I do think the after covid cough feels different than the covid cough, at least for my family. It's more of a dryness and sudden urge to cough; whereas, the covid cough seems to be productive. I also think my family caught head colds after covid, because they also had teary eyes. I didn't seem to get this either.

It varies person to person. I had a dry cough with Covid this summer, and my husband had a productive one. But yeah, it did persist weeks after infection so we didn’t go out much and when we did for groceries etc. we were so self conscious as everyone probably thought we were still sick.

I’ve been playing COVID or allergies? for two years now and honestly with me thankfully it’s almost always been allergies. Still get odd looks whenever I cough/sneeze and I’m out though.

The time I had COVID felt a LOT different from my allergies, and funnily enough, I got it from the cruise.

Interesting. Good to hear. I’m glad since crew friends on the ship were off anyway and talking with them will be there when k cruise

This is me-allergies. Just tested yesterday as my cruise is coming up-negative. Been so dry here, I am not surprised I have the symptoms I have. But my allergy symptoms are way different than my covid symptoms. I had covid back before omnicron. While not terribly ill (thankfully) I had a cough. And a really stuffy nose that I could feel, like a sinus infection. And I knew I was sick as those symptoms felt quite flu-like. I guess not everyone is the same. But it adds to the paranoia before The Test this weekend.

From what I’m reading here, if you have a cough or sneeze, people automatically, at least in their mind, point and scream COVID!! I understand the programmed feeling from the past couple of years, but has everyone forgotten about the common cold, allergies, smoker’s cough etc…. My husband has a smokers cough and you would swear he was coughing up a lung, especially in the morning. If you hear him on our cruise, don’t worry, he’s fine, he’s covid free - he does test to make sure.

Meh I have terrible allergies. I can't test every time I sneeze or have a cough. It comes and it goes. Oh also now its flu season so that will be fun. Obviously if I feel terrible I'll step aside, probably test.

When I had the flu in 2014 I was in bed for 6 days. Turns out I have a autoimmune disease and the flu brought that out since I was diagnosed in 2018 my body doesn’t ache and haven’t had issues luckily my autoimmune right now is mild compared to others. One of the reasons we moved our cruises to February 2023

Sorry for the thread drift, but was this the three-night on the Wish that just ended today? We were on that and my son tested positive during back to back testing so we couldn’t do our four-night starting today as well…the nurse did say that they were exceptionally busy lately with handling positive cases.
No the 11 night Iceland... plenty of time for cases to spread on that one. so those testing positive DEFINATELY got it while on the ship.. Most excursions were bus trips with quick outdoor shots, with limited exposure to others so you can really conclude people caught while in on board . We also tested postive now post cruise.

I have a chronic cough too.. but I only tested postive when I had additional symptoms.. light fever and major nasal drip and conjestion on top. This was the evening after disembarkation.

Worse of it seems to last for us 24-48 hrs and nothing that standard cold/flu can't make better. Though my DH seems to be sweating tons... but no longer fever or other symptoms.. this just started after he feels 100% better odd...
