I thought I would share what I was glad i did/ didn't do & ratings:


Glad I did-

HAVE A DISNEY WEDDING INSIDE THE MAGIC KINGDOM!! A++++++++++++ - Manny & our guests RAVED about how this was the BEST wedding they have ever been to.. I am not going to lie, I thought since there was going to be only 18 people that it would be kinda lame but it was the TOTAL opposite.. It was more intimate, fun, laid back, & a complete success! So everyone out there who is having a small guest count, DON'T worry! Just being on disney property alone makes it amazing.. Everything flowed like clock work & they took cared of everything.. It was like we were a guest at our own wedding, enjoying everything, & not have to worry about anything..


Request DJ chuck johnson! B.. - He followed instructions, played some of our requested songs, read the crowd, & kept me DANCING!
He currently has a book he had written sometime ago & i read it.. In that book he had a game that i wanted to play during the reception.. Basically Manny & I sat in a chair in the middle of the dance floor with our backs facing each other.. Manny & I held one of each others shoe in both our hands.. Chuck would then ask a question about us & then we would raise the shoe as to whoever the answer would pertain to.. example: Who is crankier in the morning? We both raised Manny's shoe Who controls the finances? we both held up my shoe.. ect.. so on and so forth.. out of all the questions we only got one wrong! Who was the better driver? I raised mines & he raised his Oh well another 10 years of marriage will tell It was a hit as well.. I just laughed the whole time.. The reason why I gave him a B was because Manny wasn't to thrilled with him not playing all our requested songs but other than that he was ok...


Hire Glenn Ferguson as our Caricature artist from "About faces entertainment"! A.. Since i had such a small crowd the guests got multiple opportunities for different drawings with different guests.. They LOVED him! Here is some of his drawings from my day-

We even got him to draw everybody on 1 page! He said he has never done it for a wedding before.. I LOVE IT!!-

Dressed non-traditional in blue A+.... Even after the wedding was done the next day the staff & GUESTS at the grand flo said We remember you guys because yall were in blue! ( I had just got out the shower & was kinda looking a little busted but oh well they remembered us )

DIY projects- Making my own invitations, place cards, picture frames, Mickey fans ( & yes i made mickey fans! it was the night before we left and didn't get a chance to post but i will) ribbon wands, etc... It saved me a ton of money!!

I had Amy Riendue as my planner! A.. She had alot of patience with me.. I mean ALOT! Being that i changed my ceremony location THREE times I want to send her something but I am drawing a blank Any ideas/ sugestions?? I even have her blackberry number on my cell!

Purchased breakfast food during our reception! A++++.. The crepes alone were phenominal! The food was delicious & right on point.. The guests loved it.. I also loved having a chef there making our eggs to order.. The price was especially right for me!

Hire Videographers for the ceremony & reception! A+.. I used simply cinematic for the reception & disney video for the ceremony.. It was like they were not even there.. It makes me wonder if there were there! haha! I'm just glad I get to relive the moment again & again.. Since simply cinematic couldn't be there for the ceremony they took us to the grand flo ( by the big chandeliers ) & had us repeat our vows to each other so they can incorporate it into the video.. It was like reliving the moment all over again! Manny was being so silly! while i was saying mines he was making funny faces & so we both busted out laughing on film! Even the videographers were laughing!

Requested Regina, Amy, Ty, & Randy as our photographers!A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++..... As you guys have already seen with the sneak peeks, they came out GORGEOUS!! I had Regina & Amy for the ceremony, Randy for the reception & photos in the resorts, Regina & Ty for the yacht... I cannot wait to see all of them! I will definitely share when they arrive.. I am not going to lie again, I was a little worried with Randy but he exceeded my expectations! I originally hired him in the beginning because he had the best prices & he took good photos.. That was the thing that worried me, they were just good & I wanted great.. At that time i was on a smaller budget but then my job took off & i already signed the contract with him... Now I AM SO HAPPY I DID!! He is so nice in person & did an awesome job with my photos.. I would definitely recommend him to everyone..

Rented the yacht for our dessert party!! A++++... This was an AWESOME ending to a great night! It was the second thing that was the talk of the night aside from the magic kingdom ceremony... We told all our guests to meet in the lobby of the grand flo.. At this time they STILL had no idea i rented it! We then escorted them to the yacht, got in front of it, & Manny & I said simultaneously "Ladies & Gentlemen Your chariot awaits you!" They crowd went wild! I would definitely recommend using the yacht as a dessert party location.. It was a HUGGGGEEE HIT!! I think surprising the guests & having the guests on board made it even better than having just the 2 of us... Don't get me wrong we enjoy each others company but we wanted everybody to experience it...


That is alot of "gad i did"!


Glad I did not:


Rented the landau coach- I am not putting anyone down who did.. I am just saying that since disney provided motorized vehicles it saved me a ton of money.. I got to ride on the old fashioned fire truck which i thought was so adorable..

Used disney florist for decorations- The look i was looking for were crystal wedding trees & disney's BEO said it would cost about $2,000... Going with an outside vendor was only about $400.. Again I saved alot of money..

One thing I wished i had not done was have so much dessert... It was a waste of money.. We had cake for the reception which was alot, then cake, bread pudding with banana foster sauce, & icecream which was also alot... alot went to waste BUT it was delicious!


There is really not much "i'm glad i did not".. Over all it was an AWESOME experience... well tomorrow is my 1st day back after 18 days off.. i am well rested & ready to start planning our next adventure!!

Michelle!! Although I've seen all the posts on the fb group, I *finally* found your PJ, and spent all day (on and off) catching up! I have enjoyed reading your PJ so much. I loved reading about the journey up until the big day, and everything came out so wonderful. And I love all the pictures!!!!

Thank you for continually posting ways to save money! So many great ideas. I know that'll be something I'll have to do when planning gets further in to keep a DFTW affordable.

Ok...so I've been lurking for a long time, and I'm coming to the party late, but can I just start by saying, "Girl! Are you for real?!" Everything is fabulous! Absolutely perfect! I LOVE how everyone was in white, with your pop of color. What a great idea! Your personality shines through. So gorgeous! You looked beautiful too. Love the hair and makeup.
