What do you mean your ADR's aren't exciting. Via Napoli is recently opened and it is very exciting. I ate there with my DH and DD8 in August right after it opened. We loved it. La Hacienda is brand new too. I think trying a new restaurant is pretty exciting. The only cautionary note I want to express is Shutters. I'm afraid it recently received a horrible review on the DIS podcast. The food was terrible and the service was very poor. I hope that it isn't as bad as he reviewed it... but I just wanted to let you know so you're informed. I recommend that you check out the dining reviews section and see what other recent diners had to say. That way, if they're all bad, you have time to choose something else. My DH and DD and I ate there, but it was back in March 2008. We had a fine enjoyable experience, but since that was over 2 years ago, things change. I'd be hesitant to try it again after that review. However, Olivia's at the Old Key West, not only got a good review, I have eaten there and I agree. The service is good, food is good and I've never seen it crowded. Its very relaxing. Its also on the same boat launch route from PO.

Have a great trip. We'll be at Saratoga for the week of Thanksgiving, so we'll be there just before you arrive at the World. I'm looking forward to another relaxing Thanksgiving with someone else "Chef Mickey" doing the cooking. That restaurant will be new for me and my family. :woohoo:

I guess you are right they aren't really boring at all. I just felt very limited when making ADRs since I will be with a 2 year old and 9 year old that are picky eaters so I was struggling making decisions. I also have already cancelled the ADR at Shutter's. Thanks for the advice I really didn't know much about it. I don't even know why I made the ressie there anyway. I switched it to Bfast at Boma. I figured I should eat at one of the AKL restaurants since we are staying there and I figured breakfast would be the best for the boys and I have heard great things. I am also excited for Via Napoli even though I am not a huge pizza fan. It looks like such a great place though. I am curious about La Hacienda. I am hoping the food is better than the food I had back in 04 in Mexico. Since it is new I am hoping for some great food.

I finally started my trip report from my August trip. The link is in my signature line. :woohoo: finally

Via Napoli has lots of things other than pizza. I had the eggplant with baked spaghetti and it was wonderful. I have decided to pass on La Hacienda. We do not eat pork or shellfish and there was not alot on the menu that didn't have either. It also looked really pricey. I actually liked the quick-service Mexico restaurant that used to be there. We're hoping to try the Hacienda quick service option for lunch someday. I hope the outdoor tables give a good view of Illuminations because they did before. We had a nice meal there and watched Illuminations.

Where are you staying? POFQ
*When are you going? Nov 17 - 23
*Who's in your group? Myself, DH, DS16, my DN30somthing, DNephew 17
*What is everyone hoping for as far as ADRS? 11/18 CM for brunch, SciFi for shakes and snacks, LeCellier for Dinner. 11/19 CP pre-opening breakfast, Ohana for Dinner, 11/20 50s PTC for early lunch, 11/21 Teppan Edo late lunch, 11/22 Final Night Dinner at 1900 PF and 11/23 Departure Breakfast at WCC. Made them all 180 days out and we're totally psyched!
*What are you looking most forward to? It's the first trip for my DN17 who has never been on a real vacation so we're treating him and his mom as an early HS Graduation gift and I cannot WAIT to show him the world. WDW is my happy place and I hope it will be his too.
*Are you using any other site to help you plan? I checked the park levels at touringplans.com and I've read a lot on allears.net
*What are you doing to get in the Disney spirit now? I changed our flights a few days ago so that instead of arriving at 11:30 p.m. on 11/17 we're getting in at 1:30 in the afternoon and I have thought of a great touring plan for all four parks that evening to help us enjoy our plan later in the week and I am an UBER planner but on our first day we're going to the bus stop and we are going to get on the bus to the first park that comes and go there. It's a huge leap of faith for me but these are bonus hours and they're on a low attendance day so I'd rather use the park admission on that day than our departure day which is supposed to be a 9. I also read a different section of the UG just about every day.

ohhhh....breakfast at Boma is incredible and they have lots of choices! I saw you have 50sPTC on your list and we LOVE it. Try the PB&J Milkshake! We make them at home and they're yummo! Chef Mickeys takes a beating on the review boards around here but with kids your children's age it should be wonderful and there is so much on the buffet it's not hard to find something yummy. Sometimes with so many options it's hard to decide and I always end up second guessing myself and wondering if I made the right choice but I promise you that you'll have fun no matter what.

Oh, and one more thing - Get a banana split at Plaza. As Rachel Ray would say -- YUMMMOOOO

Thanks Dawn for the advice. My son eats PB&Js nonstop so I will definitely have to check out that shake, it sounds interesting. I love love love banana splits so I will make sure to order one at Plaza.

Guess what I got in the mail today?

I got a Photopass card?! :confused3 I never got one in the mail before. I was like :confused3 I have a couple photopass cards. This one has the same design on it that the birthday one that we used last time. I am still bummed about that. We had a birthday photopass card that gave us 20% off our order. We activated our account and had 30 days. We got really busy towards the end of the 30 days and accidentally didn't get to the site in time to order our pics. Now they're gone forever!

The photopass letter says to Register this card before your trip to receive special offers and much more!! I'm going to register it RIGHT NOW!! I wonder what they'll offer me?

Its been a while since I've been on the boards, so I hope I'm not duplicating info here! Just so excited about the trip I cant wait!
