Yay Tessa and Scott!!!
What a touching tribute CBC just did - could we even be any prouder? THANK YOU Scott & Tessa!
I legitimately had goosebumps and chills through their performance. So happy for Tessa and Scott... and our snowboarder whose name I totally missed while watching the skating,
Forget gold - how about diamonds? Can you even believe these people are not a couple? Am I the only one dreaming that he'll take a knee on the podium and propose to her?!?That was an absolutely indescribable performance. Tessa and Scott are otherworldly. So, so happy for them. I couldn't take my eyes off them.

I believe it was half pipe skiing not snowboarding.

I was reading figure skating talk on another website, and some posters there claim a crazy blogger is going around saying they've been married for years and have "three secret babies."
An excerpt:
"And that's not even the craziest stuff on that blog. It is, after all, the Tessa Loves Scott and They are Secretly Married and Have Multiple Babies blog. You see, they're forced to keep their relationship a secret because the judges, already so unfair to them, would undoubtedly treat them even worse if they knew how blissfully happy they are in their personal lives together."

You're probably right I just saw the word halfpipe and assumed.
I checked you're right it was Freestyle Skiing Ladies' Halfpipe according to my notifications and her name is Cassie Sharpe.
Coincidentally, both sets of medals awarded Monday evening, ice dancing and halfpipe, were in the same order to the same countries.
Gold-Canada
Silver-France
Bronze-USA
Depending on where you are, ice rinks are not struggling. It's the winter Olympics. the United States is hardly ever a powerhouse. We don't really have many cross country skiiers. And that jobs us in biathlon too. Ice rinks are struggling in many cities here. And we have very few facilities for long track speed skating.
Enjoy it now Norway, Canada, Switzerland, and Germany, because in 2 years, we'll get you our pretties. And your little dogs too!!!!
As for the next winter Olympics, I'm out recruiting right now.
I did find it interesting at least in terms of figure skating many seem to train in Michigan that includes many not representing the U.S.
