Hi Catherine,
So glad you started a PJ. I LOVE your ring. It is so pretty! Can't wait to hear all of the details!!!
you need to go with #1. poofiness is a word. if the poof is important to you then you need to go with it. that's one of the reasons i'm a 2 dress bride, my #1 didn't have enough poof!
I STILL cant believe nobody told me. SHOCKED. just SHOCKED.
Hello everyone MOH here Incredible on far left
Hi Catherine! All of your plans look great so far! I like all three of the dresses, but I also like #1 the best. Every girl needs a little extra "poofiness" on her big day! It's absolutely gorgeous!
Hey there!! My vote is for dress #3. I love all of the embroidery and the way that the sash cascades in the back.
Congratulations!!
We got engaged the day after you... October 20, 2007.
I love dress #1.
Good morning, Catherine! I have to vote for #1, as well. I have this philosophy -- you only get to do the poofy dress for your wedding. It's not like you'd wear that for an evening gown or to a black-tie event, right? I just think a wedding dress has to be a dream dress of a style that you'd never get to wear for anything else.
All that said, you will look absolutely gorgeous in any of those choices! Have fun with the selection process, try a bunch of dresses and find your "dream" dress!
ETA: Okay, I feel like a total goof! Was your name always in the title of your planning journal? Silly me! I was looking at your user name and your signature!
BTW, you need to add your engagement pic to your signature. It is way too cute!
Hi Keira! Thanks for reading along! Have you heard back from Randy yet? I can't wait to see your engagement pix!
Haven't heard back from Randy yet. Friday will be 3 weeks since the pictures, so I will hopefully hear something soon! I couldn't see the dresses, it says the website is doing maintence so I will check back later, but I love the first shoes, I am looking at those for me as well.
Catherine – They are all really cute. Key consideration –your shoes MUST be comfortable! You don’t want to forego walking to different places to take pix or having your feet hurt during dancing at your reception. My philosophy on shoes (LOL!!!) is that if I am making decisions about whether to walk over and greet someone or whether to dance or whether to pose for one more picture based on the fact that my feet hurt, I chose the wrong shoes!
Oh, and yes, my name is Cam.
i like #1!!!

Hi Catherine! I really like the first 2 dresses. I think that either of them would look really good on you.
Awww I love your proposal story!! I'm glad you started a PJ... I cant wait to read more!
I tried on #1 on saturday, and it's SUCH a beautiful dress. I'm really into the poof factor, so that's why it caught my eye.
You will love it! I didn't have a "the one" moment with it, but it's one of my front runnners
I love shoe #1 too.. the more heel, the better (I'm 5'11, so I never get to wear heels .) You're so lucky you do!
ETA I got engaged the day before you! That was a great weekend! heh
Hi Kristen! I'm glad you stopped by! Were you able to get a lot done this weekend at Disney?
Wow, whats it like to be so tall? Its funny you say that because I'm jealous of you! People think I'm still 16.
It is my favorite of the 3. I also thought about buying the ones you bought at David's Bridal. I believe they were called Marissa? Do you remember how much they were? I think those have a lower heel than shoe #1.
Catherine -- Have you considered a wedge flip flop? A lot of the girls, including my DD, wore them to the prom and they were really cute. Very decorated with satin trim over the top of the foot, embellished with sequins. I'd bet you could find very fancy wedge flip flops if you were interested. DD said the good thing is they give you the comfort of a flip flop and the height of a heel, without all of your weight being on the ball of your foot. Does that make sense? Just something to consider.
As for buying the shoe early, the only disadvantage I see is if you ultimately decided to go with a non-white gown and had purchased a white shoe.
I sure did! Hopefully i'll have time to update my PJ tonight.
I completely missed the posts about your dress and shoes... dont know how that happened! I like dress #1 (you're right, it is more princess-ey) and i like shoe #2. I tried on a few like #1 and the heel wouldnt stay on my foot.
People still think I'm young, even though I'm so tall! I always get IDed (even in Canada) and I got pulled over a few weeks ago because the cop thought I was too young to be driving
yes, i have a pair of marissa shoes. they were really cheap. i think under $50. i remember thinking that they were super cheap and looked very similar to stuff they have in the department stores for a lot more money!
