I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Still reading… just not posting as much. :rolleyes1

As much? :rotfl::rotfl:

Let me beat a dead horse…. the WS looks deserted. I hope that is what the crowds are gonna look like in a week! :hyper:

It was pretty empty; I hope we have the low crowds everyone has had the last two weeks.

We have never eaten at Coral Reef. It does look good… maybe one of these days. :confused3

Christopher would LOVE it there with all the fish.

Great pics!

Thanks, Tim.

Oh yea… congrats on single digits. I've heard all the cool people are now in single digits! :lmao:

Yes, all the cool people are...even you. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks. I'm sure he won't see it otherwise, and I'd hate to talk about him behind his back. :rolleyes1

Yea, he tends to stick to one TR only when he shows up.

It's a Small Mexico... just like Small World, but with margaritas and a better soundtrack. What's not to like???

Perhaps I should take a margarita with me an I'd like it better. ;)

I don't even know when the last time was that I saw this one...

Good place to get out of the heat or take a load off.

Last night? That's might be worse than the last day...

It could be.

What a gorgeous day at Epcot! Your Coral Reef meal looks delicious! I love that the waiter took a photo for you, it is nice to be able to have a picture of everyone together :goodvibes

I try to remember to ask the waiter/waitress to take a photo on occasion. And being our last trip, I was anxious to have one final group picture.

Last day at the world coming up already?! :rotfl: Trips go by too quickly!

They go way too quick.

Thanks for the photo walk round World Showcase - just what I needed. :-)

I'm glad I could help, Linda.

Love your walk around Epcot. We have never actually explored the America pavilion, I think we need to.

You should; and be sure to listen to Voices of Liberty too!

:yay:Hooray for DISmeets, so fun!

Yes it is!

Looks like the girls were all happy to see eachother :goodvibes

They sure were. The giggles were in full force.

 single digits

Thank you for dancing with me.

So it was our last night at the World.

We left Epcot and drove over to Old Key West. Heather and the girls got settled in the room and it was decided that some pool time was needed.

Watch out world...or should I say boys...when these girls get a little older

Heather took the girls and Mary and I said we would meet them there. Mary was a little upset because we had not had the services we should have in the room. With DVC, I believe it is the 4th night you get fresh towels and garbage pick up; on the 7th night, you get the full services. Well, we got fresh towels, but no garbage pick up either night four or night seven, no cleaning of the room, etc. Mary went to speak to the front desk about it and they checked their records and couldn't tell. They put a $50 credit on Mary's bill. It was Heather's and my lucky night...drinks on Mary.

We stopped here

Yum...I could go for one right now

The adults chatted while the girls swam

Oh yes...watch out boys

Next, our morning before I say goodbye

Friday June 6 --

I got up, showered and dressed and took my luggage to check in for the Unmagical Express. I also left my carryons with Bell Services to pick up later.

Goodbye Old Key West until next time

I got back to the room and the girls were mostly ready. We loaded up the van with Mary and the girls luggage and we were off to the Magic Kingdom for a very important ADR.

We parked the car and walked to

We got to the TTC and we saw nothing but a wall of people. I'm not kidding you, there had to be over 2000 people mulling about. The monorail was broke...neither one was running -- MK or the resorts. The line for the Ferry was madness...you couldn't even find the end of the line. So we thought we'd get back to the van and park at a resort and take a resort bus...all the time worrying about being late for our ADR. But as we were moving through the thousands of people, we saw that they had buses coming into get everyone (no announcement was being made and even if it was you wouldn't be able to hear it). We headed on that way and were on a bus within seven minutes.

We got to the MK and there was then, of course, a huge back up at bag check. We got through and walked very quickly to our ADR. I explained the situation and they said they were aware and not to worry...they would seat us very shortly. Before long, our beeper went off and we were led to our table.

Yes, we were eating at Crystal Palace...my favorite character meal.

The girls were on the lookout for characters

Such beautiful girls

Good thing the girls were on the lookout. Before we were able to get up and go start filling our plates with food, this adorable guy was at our table

A few of us went up for food and the rest of us went.

After getting back to the table, Piglet arrived

My plate with plenty of my favorite -- puffed French toast

Continued in next post

After seeing Piglet and eating some breakfast, my boyfriend arrived. I let the girls have pictures with him first:

I believe it was Heather who told Tigger that he was my favorite and I needed my own special picture with him (thanks Heather!)

Then Tigger wanted me to bounce with him. How could I say no?

(Mark does not get jealous...he understands our relationship)

Then he had Cayley bounce with him

Last, but certainly not least (at least not in Mark's eyes when he is there) was Eeyore:

And I returned the favor to Heather because Eeyore is her favorite

We took care of the bill so that we could go do some rides before I had to leave to get a bus back to OKW for the Unmagical Express

Continued in next post

We left the Crystal Palace and headed to the new Fantasyland.

Isn't the castle beautiful?

Mary, Avery, Cayley and I had FP+ for

Unfortunately, Heather had not been able to get them for her and her girls. However, I had the FP's from Cayley's and my fiasco with Pirates a few nights before. They weren't good for the Mine Ride, but we gave them to the girls so they could go do an attraction or two while we were on the Mine Ride. They would come back by us and meet us after we were done with the Mine Ride and they did their thing.

Cayley was excited to go

Here we go

We loved it as much this time as the first time

Heather and the girls came back to us (I think Mary and Cayley rode the Carrousel while Avery and I waited).

Once the girls got back, it was time for me to say my goodbyes. I could have tried to do one more ride, but it was hot and I had a little tummyache (ate a little too much at breakfast). I said goodbye to all my girls, with a few tears in my eyes, until the next time:

I took a few pictures on my way out

Continued in next post

I got to the OKW bus stop and waited a mere minute or two before I was on board. I got back to the resort and got a water from the little shop, got my carryons and sat in the lobby where the air was on and checked office emails while waiting for the Unmagical Express to arrive.

With a few minutes spare, I went to wait for the bus.

My selfie of how I felt about leaving

The bus arrived and I got a front row seat (I can never get that seat coming in).

Before I knew it, I was at the airport. I had precheck and was through security in no time and taking the fake monorail to my chariot for my flight home

The flight home was a little bumpy, but I slept most of it. Mark picked me up at the airport and we made the long ride home through rush hour traffic.

It was a wonderful trip. I have enjoyed each and every girls trip a bit more each time. It has been fun watching the girls grow up and become little ladies. I have enjoyed getting to know Mary better over the years and develop a special friendship.

It's been fun getting to know Mary's friend, Heather and her two girls.

We had several fun DIS meets this trip--Sara and her family, Lisa,, Hunter and John, Bob and Carolyn.

We had our minor meltdowns and we had our very special moments.

I am going to miss not having a girls' trip next year, but hope it won't be too long before we are doing one together again.

I thank each and every one of you who read and posted for being here. For the lurkers, please don't be shy and come out and say hello next time.

I will spend my weekend cleaning the house from top to bottom tomorrow. Sunday we are off to Milwaukee to go to the Milwaukee Zoo and then have lunch with some DIS friends that we've had lunch with the last two years in Milwaukee (Barry and his family...wife, Bambi, and children Madison, Evan and Ryder; I actually met Barry and his son Evan three years ago when they were in Chicago with Captain_Oblivious and his wife and children). Then it is a few appointments during the week--pedicure and nails, etc., and packing. Mark and I leave on our next adventure one week from today.

We head to Disney next Friday for seven nights and then off to Marco Island for eight nights. We have several DIS meets planned (that's nice, eandesmom, teekathepony and hopefully a few others as well). Then I get to spend quality time with my "little sister" who I met here on the DIS, Nicki and her husband, Todd.

I do have a PTR that is finished but if you want to read our plans it is called "Could this be our last trip to the World for awhile?"

Again, thank you all for being here. I've said it before and it bears repeating: DIS friends are the best friends!

Kathy, awesome ending to another great TR... It has been fun reading and seeing all the details, to bad it has to end. But hey, you still have a Pre-TR you are working on(take that back, finished) and can't wait to see that one become a TR instead. :goodvibes

I see you asked what a Golden Spoon is. I believe it is in reference to this thread.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3106043&highlight=golden+spoon

It was a privilege to see you, Mary and the girls and I can't tell you how nice it was of you to take some time out of your Epcot day to meet up, I look forward to having DIS meets when we are back home and having them with you is always a highlight of our trip.

I love your pictures from your breakfast at CP, like you it is our favorite character meal in all of WDW. We never fail to make it part of our plans before rope drop. Tigger is a very, very close second place to Goofy with me. Love Tigger. That and the food is actually pretty good. I have to admit I am absolutely addicted to the breakfast lasagna they have... Perhaps one of these days we can do a breakfast DIS meet at CP if our paths cross again in Disney (I'm hoping they do).

Have a wonderful trip starting next week. I hope you have great weather while you are at Disney and that it continues while at Marco Island with Todd and Nicki. :thumbsup2

Boo for the last day, but yay for a breakfast ADR at CP! The pictures with the characters are all fantastic, especially you and Tigger. I have told him he was my favorite both times I've eaten there and have gotten similar reactions :goodvibes

I loved 7dmt when I rode it in May, and I agree it's a great ride. It's more family coaster than thrill, but MK already has BTMR and Space for more thrilling coasters. It's a fun coaster and I'm glad you, Mary and the girls enjoyed it too!

:( having to leave everyone. I'll miss getting to read a girls trip for a while! But I'm glad all went smoothly getting home! :)

I can’t wait for CP, haven’t been in a few years! :hyper:

Awesome ending to another great TR!

It looks like you had a wonderful time with all the girls!

Don’t say this may be the last trip to DW (besides the one coming up) for a while, I really enjoy reading your reports!!! No I understand, it maybe ours as well. Especially now that the kids are getting a bit older and want to see other things. But if I can squeeze in a DW trip in there, I will. LOL :rotfl:

Have a great time in Milwaukee! Sounds like it’s going to be a busy week for you!

Have safe travels and enjoy your vacation in DW and with Nicki and Todd!! :beach:

What a great end to your trip, a fun breakfast with the girls and your fav character. Sad trip home  but hey you'll be there in a week :thumbsup2 so looking forward to reading about that :goodvibes

The Dis meet looked great! So much fun. :) Oh my goodness the pictures in the Crystal Palace are great. I absolutely love you jumping with Tigger!! You looked so happy! :tigger:

The end of a trip is so so sad. :( You however get to go back this week! More great memories in store for you. Have a great time and be safe!! :goodvibes

I wanted to say thank you for giving us such a great TR. All of your work is appreciated and it was loads of fun! :dance3:

Boo for the last morning and the Unmagical Depress! Another great trip and report! Those girls are growing up before our eyes!

Jill in CO

Going back home - NO fun!!! Love the selfie though!

Thanks for sharing, Kathy. It was so fun to tag along with you, Mary and the girls.

I've enjoyed your trip report Kathy. Thanks for letting us all in on your trips. I sure wish you were going to be there when we are. We always seem to just miss each other. Wishing you and Mark a great trip and I know you will have a blast with Todd and Nikki. Be safe and have fun!

I was a few updates behind!

Mmmm, Coral Reef! I haven't eaten there in a few years. The last few trips it gets on the list and then gets scrapped for something else. I do enjoy it though. The atmosphere more than anything else. Well, and the chocolate wave. :lmao:

Yay for another DISmeet!

Okay, so I totally read the other day that the Liberty Inn had a New York Strip! That's crazy. And it got a decent rating. Never thought I would see a steak at a CS location.

That stinks that they didn't do garbage pick up on the days they were supposed to! Honestly, I lose track all the time when we're there.

Wow, insanity at the TTC! I'm glad that there were buses being run though.

Mmmmm. Puffed french toast.

Booo. Magical Depress. You guys had a great trip though. I loved following along as always and look forward to reading your next report.

Another great trip report Kathy  The last morning looked fun!!! Hugs from Tigger!!!!:cheer2: Then goodbyes  DH and I enjoyed your OKW pics before the trip, and looking at them now is like "going back there". Have a great trip with Mark, and then seeing Nicki and Todd...and more special DISmeets!!! :flower3: Thank you (and Mary and the girls) for sharing this trip with us! :goodvibes

Loved reading your trip report, Kathy. They remind me of all the special trips we took with my friend, April and her family over the years. :cloud9: So much fun and amazing memories that we'll have forever. Last one together was in 2012 (without Mark as he couldn't get vacation) but we are keeping our fingers crossed for a girls trip only we've wanted to do forever, or maybe even a big one in a couple of years for some sweet 16's. :) Who knows what life will bring - got to keep the faith!

Thank you for sharing your memories and enjoy your vacation coming up this week. Eeeek! :yay:

I laughed how you said Mark wouldn't be jealous. I know wouldn't be too happy if I came home and told him I had a "bounce" with someone else. :rotfl2:

Lovin the mine train pictures!
It sucks coming home and I am so glad you are going back soon so we have more to read about.
I guess I didn't realize you had a PTR going, but I think I will just wait for the next report now and be surprised!
Give me the bat signal when you start!

Ah, our trip is over  It was a very fun time. I do hope that we can go on another girls only trip someday!! Thanks so much for doing such an awesome report :)
