News Round Up 2016

I agree- very interesting to see which characters they included. I was most surprised to see that the Three Little Pigs have their own float. The "female squirrel" is Clarice of Chip and Dale adventures. She is very popular in Paris, but I didn't know that extended to Tokyo as well. I was surprised to see her on the float with Minnie vs the float with Chip and Dale. I thought the Candy Mummy dancers were fun and the floats are very imaginative. Thanks for sharing! I hope to visit the Tokyo park at some point!

Yep. The Tokyo loves to use characters that we would never see in the US. For example Gelatoni is huge in Tokyo.

Just wanted to share that Tokyo got a new Halloween parade this year. It's well, interesting, not something I would go and see.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. I initially didn't see the 'Pop n Live' title so it took me a little while to figure out the theme of musical genres. It's always interesting to see the Japanese take on Western traditions.

More than likely in non-Holiday time, they will schedule TWO shows per night. As you mention the sunset at 6:49 PM, they could easily do one show at 7:15 PM and a second show right at 8:30 PM. (It's not uncommon for shows to start at the closing time of the park - see Illuminations every night for an example of this.)

I'm afraid at least some of money is going to some of these items next month.

I love the figment shirt/logo, but I really wish that Disney wouldn't keep using him on their Epcot merchandise while continuing to treat the Imagination Pavillion like a broken-down jalopy.

It would be nice if they gave the Imagination Pavilion some love.

Yeah I saw Clarice walking around in Tokyo this year and she was quite popular.
I was also surprised to see minor characters from Robin Hood there too. I always feel like Robin Hood doesn't get a mention

MVMCP starts Nov 7...

yeah, we get there next year on 12/23, and we'll be too LATE for a Christmas party!
Mind you, we were there over christmas in 2011/12, and I am really looking forward to the gingerbread and general decs etc.

The last couple years they have done some castle refurb work before they put the lights up. So they might as well just put the lights up while they have the crane there.
