I think I'm still looking in the wrong place because I'm seeing $58 - $60 for higher point ones.
Asking prices aren't selling prices. There's a $52 VB reported in this thread. Contracts at $44, $45, and $49 passed about nine months ago, and the $45 one was a 50 point contract.

Why does it take so long to get closing docs? We heard that we passed ROFR on 2/23 and still haven't seen our closing docs. We were told we would get them between 3/10 and 3/25 - ugh! The waiting is killing me.

This seems excessive. On the one I just bought from the day I put in the offer to logging on and making my first booking was a total of 5 weeks 2 days. So 30 days for closing docs doesn't seem right to me.

We are currently closing on our first resale. We were told 21-28 days to get the closing docs, and it took something like 18. So it's not that excessive!

Our experience has been more like Wakey's. Maybe it has something to do with the title company used by the broker?

Our timeline so far:
VGC offer accepted 1/28; contracts received 1/30; submitted for ROFR 1/31; ROFR waived 2/15; closing docs received 2/18; returned 2/22; closed 3/1. Not sure date recorded but I think 3/1 or 3/2. We are waiting (impatiently) for membership to get the contract added. I may break down and call soon :)

My broker told me that people hear back on the ones that Disney knows they do not want pretty quickly. Everything else goes into a "maybe" pile and needs to be looked at a little bit closer. He said it doesn't mean anything one way or another. Whenever he's had them in the maybe pile, it's about 50/50 on whether they will exercise ROFR. This most recent one that was listed as passed on cannot close until 6/29 which is a good strategy to target because Disney doesn't want to wait that long. Just know that you have someone else waiting in ROFR Purgatory with you. Stay strong! :D (If there was an emoji of a power fist, I would have used it!)
It was also UY October which is the least popular for BLT. I know we could have put in for a few bucks less but we kept getting outbid on 100pt contracts.

Well, I guess 50/50 isn't too bad for a fairly nice price for BWV. It has no 2016 points anyway and a use year of October, so it's not like I can make a reservation for months anyway. Good luck to you, too--we're currently living in Texas as well.

The current year use points seems to be a big driver!

There's actually an October BLT contract I am eyeing if this one gets taken. I'm sure it'll be gone by then, but I will keep my eyes open for another one. ;)

Yay! Hi fellow Texan. :) Good luck to you as well!

Lets hope 3rd time is a charm. I know I'm overpaying, but I'm tired of loosing contracts to the mouse. I am consoling myself with the fact that the seller is paying all closing costs/fees.
DP58---$80-$17840-223-OKW-Oct-0/15, 68/16, 223/17, 223/18-seller pays closing- sent 3/7

Good Luck!

Think I have a good chance?

Yes I think you do!! Mine passed and was lower price per point ($106) for 160 points-had more points in the first year available (118/17, 160/18,160/19) and if I am correct my use year might have been the ticket...March. If they pull it...might be the use year. Check back on this forum and see which use years they commonly take....good luck!!

I'm currently waiting in ROFR purgatory on a June UY contract. I submitted on 2/20. Good luck!

2/20 and still waiting? I submitted a BLT w a FEB UY on 2/27 and was hoping to hear back soon.... maybe not so much. Just want to know either way so I can move on to the next step. Either shopping for another contract or wait some more for estoppel. Lol

I think they had a big push on getting rid of the ROFR requests before CC is released. It wouldn't surprise me if post CC launch ROFR starts taking much longer then it has been
I hope not!! I'm going crazy enough as it is!! :crazy2:

UPDATE! They waived ROFR!

Tink584---$83-$14691-160-SSR-Dec-0/15, 160/16, 160/17, 160/18- sent 2/27, passed 3/10
I was just going to write a post saying I hope this means ours will come through soon because ours was sent in on 2/24. I thought "I'll check my e-mail for the fun of it", and low and behold, there was an e-mail saying we passed!!!! :yay:
