June 2017 Disneyland Check In!!!

Heck, I don't wear shorts till it hits triple digits here in Phoenix!
This totally cracked me up. After living in AZ for a short time, I came back to Oregon when my granny was passing away. It was 113* in AZ, and I was begging for a sweatshirt when I arrived in Portland. Because, you know, suddenly 92* was seriously cold!

Super excited to be arriving Sunday and in the parks Monday early am! A bit of anxiety about the new GOTG but with 4 days, we should be able to swing it. Going to see MSEP with Blue Bayou section so won't have to worry about waiting around too much. So glad we'll be in our happy place so soon!! Anyone been on classic space mountain today? Did it reopen as scheduled? How were waits/fps?

Oh lord, I need to know where you all are, so if I come visit I do so in July. I'm the exact opposite when it comes to temperatures. If I never saw temps above 70, I'd go into a great depression. :) I save all my complaining for the winter and have been eyeing a move to either Florida or Arizona for more year round warm weather.

Im in Ireland, summer temperatures are usually between 65 F to 70 F, 75 F is the hottest it gets and then only for a few days and the country literally stops as people cant cope with the heat. We dont have air con as standard in homes, shops buildings etc.

Cool! Ireland is on my list of places I really want to visit. I have friends who live there and it looks like a beautiful place.

I can't believe we're here in June - we're all going to Disneyland this month! Some of you are already there... Just a little while ago this still seemed super far away and now suddenly it seems almost too soon and I have so much to do!
I know! I'm so excited. I've begun prepping things for packing - aside from clothing we will still be wearing

I know! Only 19 days for us now. I am starting to really get nervous...ha! I am going to start setting things aside in the spare room. We are basically packing our entire house for this trip so I need to get started. Seriously.

Not much time left til we get there (9 days!) I need to get a haircut and color this week. Pick up some meds for my dog so she doesn't run out while we are gone. Pick up snacks and water from Costco. Schedule a vacation hold on our mail. Pack! I haven't packed a thing. But I've been gathering different items around the house that I don't want to forget. Think I will get out a couple of bags today and start packing some stuff. I did go through my wardrobe and pick out what I want to wear each day and set those aside.

Getting so excited!! We haven't done a summer trip in years!

We were in California Adventure yesterday. Friends from the LA area went with us. Went on Guardians for the first time. Omg never again! It was so scary. We had never been on Tower of Terror. The queue is really well done. My hands wouldn't stop shaking for 20 min afterwards. My older daughter was in tears during and after the ride. It was so awful. I seriously almost threw up in the middle of the ride. We are never doing that again!

We went on Radiator Springs Racers right after that to get the bad juju from Guardians off of us. And felt so much better afterwards!!

On our agenda today is breakfast at the Plaza Inn, Space Mountain, dinner with friends. Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh my goodness. It looks a little bit intense. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like the intense belly drop feeling.
I love cars though!!! Plaza inn is super yummy!!!! Enjoy!

I'm a little irritated with the secrecy of max pass. I was really looking forward to utilizing it, and we can't even plan for it or without it until knowing a date or something. Such a bummer. So I'm going to assume it won't be out

Latest rumor I've heard from someone who works there is that it probably won't be ready until July. I suppose it could be ready sooner, but from what it sounds like, probably not.

I'm sure it won't. Bum deal. Oh well, saving money I guess :)

I do not know what your humidity is like in Ireland, but we keep our AC set at 78-80* and it won't turn on until it's 2* warmer than the set temp. So our house is typically 80* all summer when it's 90+ outside. We're in CA now, but my DH grew up in the Vegas area and I lived there for a long time, so we are used to warmer weather. My mother often brings shorts to visit us and she wears them when it's 60* because she is from cooler weather.

AC on 78-80? I would die...haha! Ours is on 69-70 (the actual temp in our house is usually a degree or two warmer than what the thermostat says.) I often have AC on even when it's mid-60's outside because the house is always warmer (our house is cheaply built.)

A little over 3 weeks for us! I need to get moving on planning our days out! I had booked a split stay at the DLH for 4 nights and 2 at Courtyard Theme park entrance, but decided yesterday to just do our entire stay at the Courtyard since more days opened up with points and that covers our entire stay. So we went from paying $2,400 for our lodging to ZERO! I guess it's a no brainer to go with free. But I'm still waivering a bit because the DLH seems SO nice!

We leave in 18 days, and I'm super excited!!! My kids just finished school yesterday, so now I can turn my attention to getting ready for our trip. I have a lot of lists going: what to pack, what I need to buy, what I need to do before the trip, etc. but that's about it. Monday's outing will be to Target to take care of most of the things on my "to buy" list.

I'm a Texan through and through and like warm weather. I do not really like cold weather and I do not function really well in the cold (I have poor circulation so my fingers and toes will get numb easily when I'm outside in the cold). I do like having the seasons change and so I enjoy about a month of the colder weather and then I'm over it. We almost always go to WDW in June and this is our 2nd trip to DL, the first one having also been in the month of June. I am very happy with Disney trips in June, though I'm happier at DL with much lower humidity than in Florida!
