Cots are not available. Whenever we have this situation, we bring/ship down an air mattress.

Well there goes that strategy. I'll see if he can bring down some of his boy scout stuff so he's not actually on the ground. Or I'll share with his mom and give him the bed.

We are planning to bring some kind of mattress to CS (in April) because the two sons (15 and 11) that will be with us don't want to share a bed. I was thinking we would have to opt for a typically narrow camping mattress. is there room for an actual twin mattress?

Yes.

Hi just upgraded to CSR with the Chase Visa discount! Never stayed in a moderate before so we're really excited. I do have a problem I hope somebody can help me with. I had booked a value with my travel agent and when I called yesterday about the discount I was told only my TA could make changes, but she is away on vacation. So this morning I made another reservation "upgraded" and will have her cancel the other when she gets back. I've already made dining reservations on the one I want to cancel. How do I transfer everything from one confirmation number to the other?

Cots are available at CSR. Like the microwaves, they are first come, first serve and cannot be reserved in advance. Only at check in from housekeeping.

Can you tell me about the food at CSR? I enjoyed the food at POR especially the build your own pasta and the turkey dinner.

I have read that you can have your mugs filled at the main pool area. do they have coffee? and what time do they open? Also can you send in a room request by fax(link in POR) if so what is the fax number?

We stayed there 2 years ago and filled our mugs at the main pool - I think you had to ask to have them filled - wasn't self serve. The main pool counter service restaurant is open for breakfast so they open quite early. Can't remember exactly but I'm sure there was coffee there.

There are multiple eateries at CSR. The main food court, Pepper Market, has stations for nachos, burgers & chicken, salads & sandwiches, pizza, and pasta. There is also a limited QS at the pool, a grab n go counter (pastries, treats, fruit, snacks), and two TS restaurants.

Thanks. You would think if they had breakfast...they would have coffee. Well I guess I will figure that out when we get there...truly depends on where our room is

Hi, I am brand new to Coronado Springs and have been reading back on here but have not been able to figure out where exactly the new temporary bridge is located? Can anyone explain it because I have been studying the resort map and am unsure of the bridge location. thanks.

Hi, we just switched from POR to a water view room at CSR and we are a little apprehensive on switching resorts as we have never stayed at CSR. I think we would prefer to be in the Casitas since they are the first bus stop. If anyone has stayed at both resorts we would appreciate any advice.
Thanks

@BrittyRo - They keep moving around, so no one area is complete. 7A and 8A are refurbished and open. They are working on Casitas 1/3 and some of the rooms are starting to open in C1. There are 12 buildings and I would think that half might be done by March.

@mikem57 - I've stayed at both POR and CSR. I prefer CSR. It's feels much more peaceful and less crowded.

@LisaRay - If you look at a CSR map, the bridge used to go from around 9B to near the Dig Site Pool. Now the bridge has moved from the Dig Site to near the Marina.

Thank you Olaf63 for posting that picture. I was so disappointed when I saw the earlier post that cots are no longer available. We have been requesting a cot for many years here and I love this resort!!! You made my day!

Thank you for letting me know about this! I know it's first come/first served, but knowing the option is there makes me feel better for my traveling companions.

We loved CBR when we went in 2014, but with the construction, we were considering going to CSR in Nov. 2018. But something that I notice when looking at the refurbished rooms in CSR is the "hardwood" floors & the raised wood bases on the beds. To me, it gives a harsh look. I think of a luxurious resort bedroom as having carpet & soft bedding covered in quilts & bed runners. I have a hard time thinking I could really get comfortable there. And if not able to get a room on the top floor, the noise of the flooring above with families running around on it sounds loud. Is this really the way it is or is it much better than I'm imagining? TIA!

What is the best way to request a certain building? I would really like to request one of the refurbished rooms for our upcoming stay! Thanks!
