My no free Disney Visa came in the mail today - I'll be using it to put another $500 toward my January cruise... which is really just $300 after the $200 statement credit posts.

Got my Priority Pass card today too from my Amex plat (thanks Ameriprise!)

Oh and my Aerosmith T-shirt came from when I had to join the stupid fan club to buy decent seats for our Vegas show.

I DM'd PP on Twitter about this and they said "Unfortunately, we've temporarily suspended access for our members in SLC until further notice. As soon as we resume operations, we'll keep our members updated..." I hope they didn't burn their bridge in SLC and scare off other places that might participate if the original one doesn't come back.

I'm living in my fantasy land over here and staying positive...that I will be able to book disney with UR's by the time I receive my CIP bonus.

On another note I booked my hotel for disneyland, ended up booking 4 points by sheraton Anaheim on Marriott/SPG points, 5 nights with the 5th night free! Now to patiently wait for the next SW release at the end of this month and I can get the flights booked.

Still working on the MS for CIP and SPG bus, possibly will be able to upgrade my SPG personal before the offer expires next month I have the 100,000 upgrade offer, need to wait and see how the sign up bonuses go. My bank bonuses have gone by the wayside for now, only working on Citi and then going to retry the PNC in the next week or two.

ETA: The survey said that there could be different respondents what could get a different type card. I have a gut feeling there is really only one and still speculation at this point.

Being < 5/24 is only 24 months away... Somehow I pulled it off and remarkably didn't get burned in the process.

Also - I refuse to acknowledge the term lol/24 HAHA! I must stand by my stance that everybody should know their X/24 status at all times in this game haha!

True and most impressive I might add. I'm curious though, with the current Amex climate, new language, pop ups etc. Do you think you could do the same thing again if you started today and were at 5/24? Or do you think that the game has changed significantly enough with regards to Amex and business cards to impact the creative path you took to churning your way below 5/24? If so, how would you go about it today?

When we started way back when, DH and I were able to accumulate a million miles/points in under a year. I don't think I could do the same thing, the same way if I were starting out today. I'd have to make a concerted effort to go for the Chase cards first and space them out. I wouldn't be able to get multiple Citi AA cards every few months and multiple US Airways cards every few months. MS with Amazon Payments was so easy and Blue Bird accounts weren't getting shut down and you could buy Visa GCs at CVS with a credit card. I'm feeling nostalgic, can you tell.

Ok so if I can't be /24 then how about /24? I know I'm currently at 9/24 and about to drop to 8/24. I also know that if my plans go well I will be back up to 12/24 before long.

Do I need to have a separate account for my Chase Ink Cash Business card or can I add it with my account used for my personal cards?

You can't add a business card to a personal account. I had to create a separate biz account, then call Chase and have them add my existing personal card to the biz account. It was super easy and only took about 5 minutes!

Congrats to your daughter and you @disneymagicgirl. It is my not secret at all dream that one of my girls can do that one day. I had no idea about it at all when I was in school. Such a good opportunity!

All this talk of the Lux bonus posting has me jealous. And then panicked as I am only halfway on my MSR’s right now. And then I really panicked when I thought how somehow I have ended up working on a $20k minimum spend in 90 days. I guess halfway on all three isn’t bad. But deep breaths...

Speaking of one of those cards the Barclaycard Arrival Plus is now offering the 60k bonus and no AF. Hopefully tomorrow is less busy as I am going to call and see if they will match the offer on mine. My AF hasn’t posted yet so I am cautiously optimistic.

So the ticket discussion has bled in r/churning. u/nuhertz who is kinda the Disney expert over there feels that the Chase URs w/ Disney change and this new Ticket change are linked. I personally don't see the connection...Why would they remove HOTELS from the Freedom portal over a ticket change?

I personally this it is linked. I was on the Freedom Expedia portal today looking to see if the Disney tickets were still available. They were & the prices changed based on the dates! Then I saw this about the tickets! I’m holding out hope Disney will be back on the table!

Yes but you'll want to buy the e-ticket that expires 12/19. The hard tickets they mail expire I think 3/19 but don't quote that, I read it in one of the ticket threads earlier but it was suggested to anyone to do the e-ticket.

ETA - I just read UT hard tickets expire the end of Feb 2019. So most will want e-ticket.

Yes, the hard tickets expire in February. I don’t see an expiration for the e-tickets but assume end of 2019.
Really wasn’t planning on buying now but I’ll have to suck it up. To make matters worse DS will turn 10 right before our trip, so no more kid prices.

So the real question, charge the $1400 for tix to SPG Lux towards MSR or upgrade CSP to CSR and get 3x UR and use travel credit (would be upgrading next month anyway but hoped to finish SPG spend first) ?

Nice! My P2 really wanted to get this card, but it would put him at 5/24 so I told him to wait and think about it. Serious FOMO here, though. It must be very liberating not to have to worry about the x/24 number. Congrats!

My laptop will be here hopefully tomorrow! Between Wells Fargo and RMN, I saved 50% and got a pretty solid laptop for the price. Way better and powerful than the laptop I was going to get and I paid a little bit over the price for it.

For those wondering about Earn More Mall, they started doing huge ones like this in May. It was for food places. Then they did a Father’s Day one for Home Depot. Then in late June the same food places. Then in late July-August they did one with CVS, Chuckie cheese a couple of more places and in late August-late September they did the current deal.

I guess they’re trying to gain some more customers and/or stop their existing customers for closing their accounts because I sure was. Hopefully they do big bonuses for major retailers again for the holidays.
