Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We haven't done that at GF SL yet but have done it at multiple other resorts and loved it. Never have we come back from a WDW vacation so relaxed and well rested.
We are doing this in July, but we will be at AKL CL. I am really looking forward to it. We may even check out the putt-putt courses! We never have time to do that when we are there for the parks!

Does anyone know if there are any bunk bed rooms in CL at AKL? According to touring plans, there appears to be one. Since it isn’t a booking category, I am assuming this type of room would be by request only (if it exists).

There are, I’ve seen people post about them on here a few times. I think there are more than 1 people have had, but not a lot. They are by request only. Touring plans is great for views as long as you use common sense, it isn’t as good for bed types, connecting doors, etc...

Good to know! Thanks for your reply. My girls would be thrilled to not share a bed if we could get one of those rooms!

There is at least one - 4505. :-) We requested Zebra Trail/close to the pool elevators. When there the CM saw our kids (7 and 3 at the time) and asked if we’d rather have a bunk room. We thought about it and said yes. This room just happened to fit our original requests as well.

They originally assigned my DW and her GF one back in Jan on the other trail (blanking on the name of it right now), that didn’t last long. :-)

I agree with @ninafeliz, I think there are others around, they just aren’t all that well documented.

Has one ever just booked the GF SL and just enjoyed the resort, pool and monorail service to other resorts for dinner and never entered the parks? Just relaxed.

We have two days booked like this for our September trip. we've a night in a value on travel day, move to GF SL for two days to get over travel and relax, then 14 days at AKL CL to hit the parks and Food and Wine. 195 days and counting.

We've never not gone to the parks, but we have gotten to the point where we spend most of our time at the resort with very little time in the parks. With that said, I think a resort only trip is a great idea as I could definitely spend my days resort hopping, shopping, and just relaxing at the resort :).

You will love Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is so relaxing.

I agree ::yes::

My husband and daughter have. DH worked out at the gym for hours then accompanied DD teen to Disney Springs. They seemed to prefer not to enter the parks.
Thankfully I had another child that went park-hopping with me.

We've decided to arrive a day earlier than originally planned for our July trip, and since we can't alter our DVC rental, I've decided we may as well splurge for one night club level. Why not, right? So my dilemma is which monorail resort? Arrival day will be a pool day, so I'm leaning toward Poly. We'll be attending EMM the next morning, so that makes me lean CR. We've never stayed at GF (main building), though, and I was thinking of a 1900 Park Fare dinner on arrival night.
The price difference is ~$70, so not a huge factor.
We're a family of 5 with 3 boys ages 15, 11, and 4 so space is a factor.
Which would you pick & why? Thanks for your time!

A MK resort CL challenge. Love it.

You’re sort of missing some of the CL fun with maybe an arrival day dinner and missing breakfast the next AM, but let’s put that aside for a second.

What is your plan after EMM? Come back to the resort and check-out? Or will you be out before going to EMM?

If the price difference if only $70 includes GF RPC I would do that and skip any dinner ADR to enjoy the pools and lounge. Normally I would also say to skip your morning plans also, but I really like EMM, so that ones tougher, but you are “wasting” the second day of your CL experience unless you plan to use the lounge the rest of the day. I have stayed at all 3 and loved them all, though, so you can’t go wrong. Walking to the MK is a heal of a perk for EMM, and the Poly atmosphere is awesome.

Have never stayed at the CR, but I love Poly CL and GF RPC. The Poly is my favorite resort and while I do love the GF (and RPC), the tropical atmosphere of the Poly and the pool backing up to the beach with a distant view of the castle is hard to beat, IMO. In addition, the Hawaii longhouse is right next to the main pool, so it's very convenient for grabbing snacks/drinks from the lounge while relaxing poolside.

Glad I asked here, because y'all are so right...there's no need to book an expensive dinner when we're staying CL! Thank you for helping me keep my head :rotfl: I'm also giving a second thought to EMM, because I hadn't considered the issue of check out! Plus with EMM, my family would probably benefit from a mid-day room break & that won't be possible.
Soooo...for just a relaxing pool day/evening upon arrival, with a chill morning and MK in the afternoon, what do you think...Poly?

Side question: We'll be checking into Bay Lake, bell services will move our things over, is that right?

Not exactly Bell Services but you can call and have Bell Services pickup your bags in your room or you can drop them of at Bell Services. Just make sure that you understand your bags may not be available until after 5 PM.

A separate group picks up all the transfer bags from Bell Services and then delivers to other resorts.
