Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Why don’t they think you don’t need it? (I’m curious).
We have ADRs and will most likely miss the 5:00 - 7:00 3/4 nights unless we move stuff around. I think if I found it earlier on it would have been an easy sell for them. After going through the plans & ADRs 1000x (bc I am like that) I think they are a little apathetic towards the change.

HAHA if only my family felt the same! They don't think we need it. Even if we used it just for breakfast for the 4 days thats $42.25 per day. Totally worth it to me! I needed to know I wasn't crazy.

I placed a deposit on it last night. I was too scared it would disappear. Now I have two overlapping rooms lol

I think I need to keep it!

How many people in the room & how much will buying breakfast cost for your party? Right there you may break even or be ahead. All they need to know is you are saving money. ;) Not even counting the other snacks, appetizers & beverages you get.

Good that you booked it, these things disappear fast! Enjoy! :goodvibes

The lounge is also nice for another place to sit & relax after a day in the parks and/or while waiting for others to get ready in the morning. We find the food offerings nice when we're there to enjoy them, but when we stay CL, it's more for the lounge and having another place to go instead of sitting in the room or around the resort. So while CL isn't a great monetary value for us as far as food offerings, we do enjoy the lounge itself, which is part of staying CL for us :).

I agree ;).

We have to pick up my daughter from the CP in May so are taking the opportunity to use her sweet discount to stay at the BC CL for four nights. We had a short weekend trip to BC last year (or maybe the year before, time gets hazy the older I get) that was less than impressive but was too short to bother lodging complaints over so hopefully this one will be much better. My husband, crazy man that he is, also booked he and I at V&A one night, daughter will have to save up her own pennies for that one someday.

That makes sense then. I’m not sure I would do it just for breakfast benefits.

When I first suggested CL to certain family members, they too said they didn't think they'd like it.

It would be good to visit the lounge at least once during appetizers, but another option is to make a point of visiting during dessert hours. If we can't make one, we try to at least make one or the other each evening of CL.

Also, even if you can't be there during appetizers, consider the included beverages. If you visit your room at all in the afternoon or evening before 10pm, you'll be able to get beverages on your way back to the room. Your party may well get value from that part of CL, especially the adults.

I think your family will find, CL is more than just the $ of breakfast. CL offers a significant convenience factor in the morning. At the food courts, getting a latte is a time consuming hassle. No way do I want to lose 30 minutes of prime AM park time waiting in line at Starbucks. But a latter machine down the hall with no wait at all? Awesome!

I should perhaps add...on at least one visit to WDW, we combined CL and the DDP while staying at the Grand Floridian. Naturally, our trip included TS at GF and Poly. After dinner we'd stop by the room (grab a jacket?), and I have to confess, post-buffet it was slightly painful to look at more CL food trays.

I also really enjoy putting a couple of cans of soda, that we get from the lounge, in our room fridge. They are nice to have when we come back in the evening. During the lunch snack time the BWI CL has a make your own granola mix station complete with little baggies. On the first day of our stay I always mix up a bag to have in our room for late night munchies. There is usually a selection of fruits out that serve the same purpose. Then of course you can grab a bottle of water to take with you as you head to the parks in the morning. With the price of just a beverage at Disney it doesn't take long for the savings to add up.

I have to laugh when I read this about the Aventura. My millennial aged son who has stayed at the Portofino hotel often, thought the Aventura hotel was too millennial when he stayed there last fall. He was glad he tried it but says he will return to the Portofino next time. We do love the CL there.

I'd probably try it again, but we really like Express Pass, and we really like Sapphire Falls.

That said, I really like the fresh approach to food at Aventura. Even the packaged snacks were the kind of packaged items we really enjoy. I can't name specific brands, but I was blown away by the assortment of very modern, relatively healthy items they had.

And that's just the prepackaged items. The fresh entrees they offer are also the kind of food we enjoy. I love the fast casual custom approach. I'm sure we'll eat there again on our next visit!

When we stayed at Aventura, we had one of the end rooms. I forget what they are called. The layout of the regular rooms is traditional, but the end rooms are almost half-moon shaped with floor to ceiling windows. The toiletries are very modern, and excellent quality. They are the kind that is more natural and a very mild scent.

As the hotel was very new, our room as was super clean, which is always lovely. We also liked the colors and smooth modern floor. I'm not a fan of brown hotel carpeting. (I once made the mistake of walking around a hotel room in new white socks. The carpet didn't LOOK dirty, but after just a few steps, my socks were completely BLACK on the bottom. YUCK! )

The one big feature that didn't work very well at Aventura was the iPad control panel. We all tried to understand why anyone greenlighted the idea. Just as I'm baffled by the flat, square sinks at the Contemporary. Why?

The Aventura pool also doesn't have a slide, while Sapphire Falls has an exceptionally nice pool. SF even has a covered patio area with outdoor games for waiting out any pop up storms.

Which CL do you prefer: YC standard vw or Boardwalk? Adults only and never stayed club level before. DH says BWI but I’m just not sure.
The view of YC CL standard room is the roof and parking lot. The view of BWI CL standard room is the garden or the boardwalk. BWI lounge has its own chef heating up/cooking the appetizers while YC does not. I like to stay at the YC more (only if we can get the garden or water view) because I really like the renovated rooms. The lounge at YC is a little less busy as well.
8 out of 10 people I know prefer BWI.

3 Adults. So $14 per person, per day. I think its worth it. The next part of our split if GF SL. I think it'd be nice to have a full CL trip!

I've learned from being burned in the past. haha When I see things early in the morning, they can get snatched up by the time we decide!

I like the part about another place to sit/relax. Good point I did not mention to them! It would be nice to spread out or have some place to go if someone is resting. We do take afternoon breaks so it would be helpful.

I think I figured 4 breakfasts, 4 afternoon snacks, maybe 2 appetizers (if we go before a Yachtsman's birthday ADR) and 2 desserts. We could do 3 desserts, but we have Beaches & Cream for sundaes one night. The drinks are a great perk and we're all adults. I do think my family would enjoy it.

Very good point! We do not do the DP and I have TiW, but we always purchase mugs because we find value in the soda and coffee. I think this could easily replace that and save us $60! We don't need another mug with the same exact design as the past few trips.

I am staying BWI club level in May. I received a welcome email from concierge staff but I accidentally deleted it. How can I get the email address again?

I hear you!

I've been in that situation too!

I got lucky where reluctant family was once concerned....After we booked our original room, a better discount was released.

I secretly upgraded the room and just covered the small price difference. If time= money, then I got a great deal. I think you have a great deal too! Even if you have to do what I did, it would probably be worthwhile. Sometimes people just can't fully imagine a thing until they experience it.

Back then, all non-CL guests got blue KTTW cards, but CL guests got yellow KTTW cards. So immediately we thought of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, "I've got a golden tick-et!"

I mean, that right there, was a reason to love CL.

Thanks. But the email I received was specifically from BWI club staff and not a general one like that. I thought I had moved it to a saved folder but accidentally deleted it. I guess I can try the general email.

In that case I would call the number. They can answer questions and help you get back in touch with BWI Club Staff.

I think thats it, they don't know how much they will like it until they have it!

Wow! Maybe Disney could add yellow MB sliders to denote CL? haha

I'm sorry your last BC stay wasn't the best, hope this one is better :).

Sad ! RPC trip in September was to avoid SWGE, and now it's opening August 29! Should I cancel???

I wouldn't ;).

It's definitely nice to have another place to spread out and relax, especially if you're planning on taking afternoon breaks ::yes::.

Disney math/logic at its best ;).

If you find it, would you post back here? Because I'm pretty sure I did not know there was a special one for BWI, and for sure I did not save it!
