Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

I wonder if Disney reclassified the CL CM positions like they did the Minnie Van driver positions and they can now accept tips?
They were both in the same category, whatever that is.
I know the drivers were moved but maybe that's not what happened and maybe they just reclassified the entire thing so they can all receive tips?
We do not tip them, for one thing, we are served by way too many to ever tip them all. There are at least a dozen that we see over an entire stay, counting all the services and days.
We bring them treats from our home town instead. They LOVE them, or at least always act like they do LOL. They know what to expect when we are coming and always ask about them now.

Is SWGE going to included in the CL fast passes. It looks like Disney pulled room discounts for September or the sight is wonky. Now we know why they offered such deep discounts for May and June. Say goodbye to 40% off for a while.

No it won't because no FastPasses are being offered: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/fast-pass-plus/star-wars-galaxys-edge-fastpass/

Also I suggest following this forum for more information: https://www.disboards.com/forums/star-wars-galaxys-edge-info-planning.204/

Thank you all for your insights and suggestions! I discussed it with my family again after work (much easier to sell that way than via text :thumbsup2) and they are on board! I just e-mailed my TA to cancel my standard BC room :)

Off to book DME, customize another set of MBs (bc why not) and add our celebration note to the reservation.

Looking forward to the Stone Harbor Club and Sugar Loaf!! :cloud9:

Hi everyone! Finally getting around to posting the photos I promised from our 2/23-3/2 split stay at BWI and GF SL.

Ok, after now staying in these rooms twice, I am officially in love and will declare that the BWI Garden Cottages are my favorite rooms in all of WDW. For two Disney loving introverts who crave and need quiet down time during a WDW trip, these rooms are just heavenly. Soooo peaceful and quiet...you can't hear a thing from outside your fabulous 2-story cottage! And the quiet pool (which is often empty) a mere steps away? :cloud9:

First the outside photos...to paraphrase Chandler Bing, could this garden cottage BE any more charming???

Interior photos to come...

Ok, BWI Garden Cottage photos part 2...

Sorry some of these are dark...I foolishly took photos right when we got to our room instead of waiting until the next morning because I was so excited, so some of these are pretty dark. Again, I don't have a promising photography career ahead of me! :rotfl2:

Added in this last photo of the toiletries because sometimes people ask about them. :)

No, I wouldn't! Enjoy your RPC! Just don't go to DHS. Spend more time at the resort! (not difficult to do in September and at the GF in RPC!)

But, I confess, I did just book a quick trip to see SWGE on opening day, so I might be crazy!

Haha, maybe just crazy for Disney ;), which we all are here! TY for your advice.
I'm sorry your last BC stay wasn't the best, hope this one is better :).

I wouldn't ;).

I agree :thumbsup2

It's definitely nice to have another place to spread out and relax, especially if you're planning on taking afternoon breaks ::yes::.

Disney math/logic at its best ;).

TY! :-)

So, the GF SL... 2/26-3/2

We have mixed feelings about it.

First, the good...the food was UNBELIEVABLE!!! Oh my goodness...just...scrumptious. We literally could not believe HOW.MUCH.DELICIOUS.FOOD was available almost constantly from before we woke up until 10 pm. Two of the days we stayed there we didn't have to purchase a single food or beverage item because there was literally just too much stuff to eat and we couldn't eat another bite in addition to what we ate at the lounge. We actually cancelled two ADRs in advance because after the first day we realized that we just weren't going to have stomach room to eat any meals in addition to what was being offered at the lounge. Specifically, we pretty much fell in love with the scones and everything at the afternoon tea service. And those cinnamon pecan rolls at breakfast...WHAT THE WHAT?!? Are they deliberately TRYING to get us to gain 10 pounds in 5 days? It was all just so, so good that we found ourselves constantly saying, "well, we should really start to head back...tea starts in half an hour!" :rotfl: We are big tea drinkers anyway and used to always make a reservation for the Afternoon Tea service at the hotel, but there's really no need to do this if you're staying CL because most of the stuff is there! The only disappointments were that the strawberry soup was never offered while we were there, and neither were the Mickey waffles that I'd read about. Even though we're vegetarians, we did find enough food to make lunches and dinners out of what was offered (but we are fairly light eaters, so YMMV).

Ok, the not as good...while our room was lovely, and very clean and in good condition, we just weren't wowed by it in the way we were by our BWI garden cottage. (In fairness, I will concede that the BWI room was more expensive though, and therefore should wow us more.)

It also was (as to be expected) noisier...we could hear people in the hallways, sometimes in the room next door, and every morning we were awakened before 7 am by the smell of very strong coffee brewing. My H actually took the step after two days of this (we are night owls and like to sleep in) of stuffing the gap under the door with a towel in hopes that it would keep the smell out...it lessened it but it was still strong enough to wake us up every day. I know, I know...first world problems (and you're right to call me on that!). :charac2:

Our room was a dormer room on the 3rd floor at the end of the hall. We liked the location about as well as we'd like any location in SL I think, but I really felt for the people who had the rooms in the "main area" that opened up to the lobby below, because it definitely wasn't all peace and quiet in there!

Ok, on to the photos...
IMG_3823.png IMG_3824.png IMG_3826.png IMG_3827.png IMG_3828.png IMG_3829.png

Oh, and our room had a view of the quiet pool, but I forgot to take a photo of it. :(

Back again!

So in sum, here's what I'd say about our BWI/GF SL split stay...

I wish we could take the food from the GF and have it served in the BWI lounge, because then we could stay in a garden cottage at the BWI on all of our adults-only trips and have the perfect stay. For us, as shy introverts, we really prefer the quiet and privacy of the garden cottage, and we also prefer the quieter, more intimate setting of the BWI lounge. But...I think we also prefer the CMs at the BWI because they always manage to pull us out of our introverted shells...so many of them are just so sweet and gregarious and friendly and folksy that we just can't help but open up a little and act like regular humans, lol. There was nothing wrong with the CMs at the GF...they were perfectly competent and polite...but they never tried to talk to us or engage with us other than "may I take away your plates?" (and there were a lot of those!). And that's fine...perhaps they were "reading the room" and realizing that we are shy and quiet and and uncomfortable with anything more than that. But it's the little things about the interactions with the BWI CMs that just really made us feel like wanted guests instead of customers being served...does that make sense? For example, one day I was wearing my "#ROBBED" with a fleur-de-lis in the place of the "O" t-shirt (if you are a New Orleans Saints fan you will understand!!!), and one of the CMs came and high fived me and we had a conversation about the non-call and the game (H and I saw the game in person at the Dome on the day which will live in infamy). Another CM noticed my H had an obscure Star Wars reference on an Etsy shirt I'd bought him and started talking to him about SWGE, and it was a real conversation like you'd have with a friend. Everybody we encountered there was super cool and friendly and just regular folks, KWIM?

And I don't mean to knock the food at the BWI...it's delicious, and Chef Redgie is amazing. But in terms of sheer variety and amounts served, and for us as vegetarians, the BWI doesn't compare. We could (and did) make full breakfasts out of the CL offerings there, and sometimes lunches, but not really dinners...which is fine, and we appreciate that CL isn't intended to be a meal replacement. And in a weird way, we actually really like that about the BWI offerings, because we weren't too stuffed to eat at our ADRs, which we really look forward to.

We did stay in the Deluxe King rooms in the GF's main building about 15 years ago (I think they were called the honeymoon rooms back then...they had a jetted tub), and we'd consider staying in one on our next trip, but last time it still didn't have the same sense of peace and quiet and being in a home that the BWI cottage did. Sooo...all that to say, I think it's the BWI for us from here on out for the adults-only trips! My H actually said, "Let's never stay anywhere else." Ummm...done, lol.

Oh, and @QueenElinor ...you were right about what you said about those first class seats...currently plotting how we can swing them for our next trip, and all the ones thereafter... :rolleyes1

Site has to be wonky, I have a trip in Sept that has discounts, booked this morning. It was after the announcement but wasn't made because of it. Just because we got our dates set based on football schedule

Congrats on keeping BC CL! I know everyone will love it once they get there :goodvibes.

I agree, GF CL does have some of the best food offerings....and those pecan rolls are amazing! ::yes::

Hello all, I apologize as I'm sure that this question has been answered several times in this thread already but even with the search feature, there was just sooooooo much info I couldn't find it.

We have our first CL stay at coming up in June at Poly to celebrate my son's HS graduation. I'm a super early riser usually 5:30 to 6:00, while my family likes to sleep in a bit. Will I be able to grab some coffee in the lounge before 7:00am? It would be great to be able to get out of the room and let them sleep without having to trek to the GCH for coffee. :)
