Dh still can’t find his wallet....he does this so often it’s hard not to be irritated. Today happens to be our 3rd anniversary. He put a temporary lock on all of his cards and luckily didn’t have any cash in it.

Side note, today is our 3rd anniversary!

Idk if that would work with his wallet. I have a small wallet and it fits in mine.
 
My local Kroger store used to allow that but that method died off around 4 years ago here. I'm surprised yours still does that, and makes me wonder if Kroger went back to allowing it? Guess I'll have to do my own experiment. Maybe it's the self-checkout that's the key. I do love buying variable vgcs through the self-checkout (after learning that I can mute the speaker so that it's not announcing that I'm buying a $500 gc!).

I buy them in the regular line and don't have a problem. Hope it works for you!
 
Lookup your flight on Southwest, click on the flight number and it'll tell you the aircraft type they have scheduled. It'll show as "Boeing 737 MAX8".

Awesome, thanks. I have four SW flights in the next month and looked them all up. I'm a nervous flier to begin with so I feel a little better not being on a MAX :scared:
 
Interestingly, you’ll find the 24-months limitation on the CIP SUB only in the certifications, not in the offer terms. If you click on the Offer Details link, there’s nothing about the SUB not being available to current or previous cardmembers who received a CIP SUB in the last 24 months.

For comparison, this is the language (in bold) that’s at the very top of the Offer Details page for the CSR: The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products.

Correct, which is what led to speculation at some point that the CIP wasn't bound by the limitation until someone noticed it in the certifications page. I can't find the posts about it, I remember reading a link from DoC's site about it. And it comes up every so often on r/churning since it's not in the offer details, someone will ask and it gets pointed out that the language is on the other page instead. So it almost seems like they put the language in there but someone forgot to actually enforce it since it wasn't part of the offer? IDK, something crazy going on with it over there in small business land.
 
Looking for advice,
I have Southwest Priority Credit Card, this is our main card. We also have the SW Plus credit card. I plan to drop that one once we use up all the points on that one. I also have the Disney Premier Visa, I will drop that one after our 2019 WDW trip.
With that said I was just told to change from SW to Chase Sapphire Preferred. Is this card better than SW? I don't carry a balance. Flight points are important, its how I can go to WDW as often as we do.

Hi and Welcome...the points you earn on any SW CC go into your RR account...so you can cancel the plus whenever you want.
With the Disney if it’s the card with no fee I’d keep it...if it’s the card with the $49 fee product change it to the no fee one
You can’t change a SW card to a card that earns URs....you’d apply for the CSP card and cancel any SW cards
 
Yeah... Germany has said they can’t analyze it and as of a few hours ago the French said they hadn’t been asked yet.

I’m rather disturbed at this “new type of black box” that even the Germans can’t anaylze. Didn’t know that was a thing.

Agreed. I had cnn on for a bit they were the one's that said france but I didn't underatand if they were being sent later or already on the way.

I also don't understand why it took so long to get this sorted. If you know you can't read them once you find them I would expect someone to be on the phone until they find someone that can. I understand a lot goes into all that but I would think there would be enough people to handle it all.

Does make you wonder if it's a cost issue or a need issue as to why it can't be read. I can understand ethiopia not being able to but it's surprising that germany doesn't have the software to do it. Makes you wonder who all can actually read them and why. Also is this type of box used on different types of aircraft or just the max and that's the reason. I had thought they were more standard unless it's not the voice recorder but the other that's the issue.

I have those for keys (I once lost my keys and had to have my Saab ignition replaced as they could not duplicate the key ) and on DSs backpack. They work great for wallet/phone but not as well to find DS :faint:
 
Speaking of this, any idea if you can link two reservations in the same resort at WDW together? If I get a room for 2 days with DW's points then 5 days after with my points in the same category, can they link them and keep us in the same room?

Yes you can call and link the reservations together...I’ve do some and also mention it at check in

My boss has lost/misplaced her passport more times than I can count...last year ordered her a tile...it slides in the passport cover and I can track where it is...may help to get one and keep it in DHs wallet

On the app, there’s a red notice “Important You can change your flight” and goes on to say circumstances beyond their control may affect the flight and we can change our flight at no additional cost. Huh? Can’t you always change flights free on SW? And isn’t it a bit early to think weather will affect a flight 10 days from now?

One would freaking think so. It's should be a complete embarrassment to Ethiopian having announced earlier today Germany would be getting the black box only to have Germany go "uhhh... we can't read that"... or did the thought never even occur to Ethiopian? Did the person arranging all this not know they have a new black box with new tech that can only be read by a few?

Not sure what that notice is all about, but while you can always cancel with SW and get your points returned to your RR account or your $$ refunded or turned into travel funds (depending on fare), when you make a change, you do have to pay any differential if the flight you change to is more expensive.

Maybe they won't charge the difference in fare if the fare is higher? That's what they announced regarding people changing away from Max flights prior to the grounding.
