So how many days before my 9/16 arrival date can I cancel this Disney vacation package and get my money back?

So how many days before my 9/16 arrival date can I cancel this Disney vacation package and get my money back?

depends on whether you have a room only reservation or a package. I believe with a room only you can cancel up to 5 days before arrival date. It should tell you on your confirmation email.

I saw a FB post from a TA today that asked if you would have your family on a bus at 5:30am for a 6am HS opening.

I was like, "Uh, no. I'll have my family in our own car, driving to HS at 4:45am for a 6am open. Anyone who gets on a bus 30 minutes before rope drop is behind the curve." And this was from a TA, y'all. There's hope... hope that the rest of the world doesn't have a fat clue what they're doing, and we will all be ok.

So we were generally planning on a more relaxing trip this year. Sleeping in, staying out late. All those early EMH they just announced may change those plans! Maybe we'll have to do the afternoon rest/nap thing. We've never done that before, but we just don't have the energy for being in the parks open to close, especially for 10 days! Argh, it's just so much to think about and I still haven't even been able to come up with a tentative plan. Too many "what ifs". I really really wish final hours and DAHs were all announced by now, but I'm sure there will be some change in the hours, and I hope they add some MK DAH events for while we're there.

I have never seen Disney do DAH during the fall season since MNSSHP goes on a few nights a week, so I am not expecting them to have any this year. I hope I am wrong tho...I would love to go to an After Hours at any of the parks, but I am not holding my breath.

Hey, I'll take the extra on-site perk of extra extra morning hours.... makes my BOG Pre-Park opening (no longer a PPO), reservation a waste of a QS meal now. Just still concerned about the size of the crowds....
Us too, but still a good QS value!

We feel the same way. Can't do the early magic hours and late shows without naps, even for adults!!

Just noticed that hours for my dates have changed drastically ... So it's back to the drawing board for me... Plan #10 coming up

Everyone, check your park hours ...
Yeah going to start sketching out some potential plan changes now...

I would really love a DAH SWGE event. I don't usually encourage Disney to try to think of more ways to take my money ;) but am really hoping for it in this instance.

My husband's reaction to the hours change yesterday - 'Oh cool so now I will get up earlier ON MY VACATION than I do to go to work' lol I told him he does NOT have to go with us when the kids and I rope drop, but he understands the value of rope drop.

We will definitely do the DHS morning once, we will drive over though unless the Skyliner is open (keeping my fingers firmly crossed) We drove to the 7am TSL Extra magic hours last summer and DH thought that was extreme :rotfl:but driving at that hour let us leave later than waiting for the bus would.

I am going to let him know he definitely does not need to join us for the 7am at MK, but I LOVE going early so I will be there nice and early. Our AK morning we will be there for 7am depending on if we get our FOP FPs.

And of course I get there an hour before rope drop - WHAT THE HECK TIME AM I WAKING EVERYONE UP FOR OUR DHS MORNING? :rotfl2:Seriously, 4am? The poor DHS CMs. Not only are they getting in to work super early, dealing with crazy crowds, but now we will all be confused and tired from lack of sleep.

I was already struggling with planning our days with GE opening... after we had planned this trip hoping that it wouldn't be open yet. Sigh. I can't yet wrap my head around all of these changes. I'm going to have to wait a few more days before I really dig in. We don't make FP+ until July, so I may even wait until the end of June to really try to get detailed. The way they're changing things, I feel like everything won't be settled until then. And with the opening of GE at DL, maybe we'll know a bit better how to plan.

Right? Seriously considering having the kids sleep in their clothes the night before. Pop Tarts in the car on the way to HS... I mean, the food court won't even be open at that point. I REALLY need to check on the coffee pot situation at ASMu... DH will be a much better human if he has his coffee. If they set up beverage/snack carts outside the HS tapstyles, they'd open up a whole new revenue stream. Ha!

I will be able to get everyone up for HS rope drop... once. But the next day for MK or AK at 7am? Nope. They're not going to go for that. No idea how we're going to manage our touring days at this point. Ugh.

Last year they had MK DAH on our first day, but we arrived at 11 PM, so it didn't do us any good. We are arriving the same day this year, but at noon. Really hoping they do it again this year, but I also am not holding my breath!

Sleeping in clothes is actually a pretty good idea for the kids. I will make sure the Star Wars outfits are comfy. As for the coffee situation - DH will not be satisfied with the in room coffee pot coffee. I wish there was a coffee stand at the gate! If they keep the same rope drop strategy they have now at least we will be corralled in front of Starbucks.

That's good to know. We haven't rope-dropped HS in a long time - as in, pre-TSL. I bet Starbucks loves that!

I can't even imagine trying to get up that early, but we're going to have to!! My kids are HUGE Star Wars fans.

We have MSNHHP on Sunday & then we're doing the 6am rope drop at HS the next day! I agree with pop tarts! lol! Maybe some yogurt drinks for the adults? Applesauce pouches. Granola bars. Thankfully there are now coffee makers in the room at Pop!! :worship:

We have a 9:20 breakfast at Hollywood & Vine so that will be a nice reward for waking up so early! lol

TP levels are the numbers (1-10) and KTP predictions are the colored stars (green, yellow, and red.) As you see, there are some days that one site says a level 1 and the other site says red day or, conversely, one site says 9 and the other site says green :confused3 This information is as of today (May 6.) I’m sure it will change a million times, but just a representation of the uncertainty!

If you are not still in line for Smugglers Run at that time. :upsidedow

Im going about the same time as you and I don't think anyone knows what is going to happen, I will enjoy watching all those TP emails and then there reports reviewing how they did that week. Im just going to pick a schedule and go with it and be happy I have park hoppers. Least we will know what the RD procedure will be and how crazy it is since we will have a few weeks of those 6am openings to learn from.

Super excited! For 150$ more (after buying park tickets) I’ve switched from Pop to Saratoga Springs by renting DVC points! Going to upgrade my park tickets to annual pass once I get there, too!

welp guess my "vacation" is going to make me REALLY tired. DH is planning to be AT the tapstiles by 5am lol for SWGE. my youngest is a fairly early riser anyway .. but still lol this is extreme ....last trip he was 3.5 and he and i would go back to the room every afternoon and nap (i didn't nap lol) but we were kind of excited not to have to do that. ...well .. we will be doing that this time lol

Thankful for our decision to stay at BWI this time vs AKL which was our other choice! :)

still trying to stay positive and optimistic :)
