DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Morning, folks.
after being trapped in pergatory, we should be on our way home today.
Had a painful ride home after Christmas. It’s normally a 7 hr drive back from my folks. But with road closures, accidents (including a 10 car pileup we missed by about a minute), and general shenanigans, the trip ended up being 12 hours
Ugh. Not fun. Been there b
Been making it thru seasons of Survivors of Hulu. Blood and Water 2 and White, Blue, No collar. Onto 2nd chances. It's just fun too watch.
Good stuff there. :)
I do miss pretzel and good beer. Definitely sounds good.
::yes::

Morning, folks.
after being trapped in pergatory,
Cr@ppy name for a shopping mall, if you ask me. Safe trip home mate, keep out of that hyperspace if you can.
If you do you have to keep him.
Only if he brings the stadium with him. I might just go back for that.
The system/ coach can help, but when they are all pros, it doesn't matter. Bellicheat gets all the credit for New England, but he sucked in Cleveland. Why? No Tom Brady. Phil Jackson wins with Jordan, Pippen, Shaq, and Kobe, but the triangle doesn't work in New York. Man United isn't as strong minus Renaldo, Rooney, etc.
To a degree. I don't think you can say just because they are Pros, it doesn't matter. I think a coach at that level is about man management and ego checking more than anything. They also have to have some credibility to run at least some kind of system. You're right, Man U less the players you mentioned, but they also won the league the year before with only Rooney. I think coaches have the opportunity to do more damage than good. I think Nagy this year has tried stuff that didn't work and made some bad decisions on personnel. He was only missing Hicks and a RB, and he had the same team as he did last year. Again, that could be the players believing their own BS.

Morning all. The bitter cold has returned, and I'm ready to move again. Happy New Year.

I'll take it.

That just means you just remain in the middle to lower end of the league with little chance of success.

If you do you have to keep him.

It's not that easy to get rid of Jerry.

Only if he brings the stadium with him. I might just go back for that.

That is a nice stadium. Had a friend who flew down with his wife and did the tour, meet players, etc. He said it was great.

I feel like you always see some regression from teams that break out in year 1 under a new coach or system. Seems like it takes defensive coordinators 1 offseason in order to figure out your system.

Evening Dads! Wanted to make sure to check in and wish you all a very happy & safe New Years celebration. Here’s to 2020 being a year filled with health, happiness and successes for all the kids

May 2020 also bring us all good bourbon, cold beer, Disney Trips, dole whips, bacon, Mickey Bars and the great fellowship we all share.

Happy New Years! Cheers!

It will be interesting to see who figures out Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. He played that way at UL, but of course, they didn't have the quality around him like other college teams or pros.

Happy new year guys, from the 2020s. Always a pleasure to spend time in here. All the very best to you and your families.

Happy New Year to you in the future. Send those winning lotto numbers if you sober enough to read.

Happy New Year gents! Here's to health and prosperity in the new decade.

I was very cheeky last night because I was scheduled to work night shift (the joys of this new job) but didn't want to be in the office alone, so I worked from home but took a 2 hour break to spend time with DW and youngest DD. I think it was time well spent.

Speaking of dogs and fireworks, is it also common for cats to be scared shirtless of fireworks? Ours hid under the bed for most of the night.

No problem mate. I wrote them down for you so I wouldn't forget. Hold on, it's around here somewhere. I distinctly remember having them before I was looking for some kindling for the fire..oh.

Good plan! Glad that worked out for you. :)

Pretty normal.
So how is everyone on this lovely new morning?
Not bad, actually. After 3 days off... not really wanting to go back to work this afternoon... but at least it should be a slow day.

Morning all. Went to Mass and home un-decorating the house for Christmas and watching EPL. Man City playing now.

Right back atcha.
The time for the dogs to cower in fear is fast approaching here.

We had a public service announcement not to shoot our guns up in the air at New Year's in hope of eliminating the multiple ER visits. Yeah, only in Kentucky

No worries. My resolution was to win the lottery this year. As I have no chance of winning, at least I have 364 days left to keep that resolution.

So how is everyone on this lovely new morning?

Sober.

Hung over. You?

I like to start drinking early, keep it going most of the day, then tail off a few hours before bedtime. Then, no hangover. I've mastered that one of the years with a lot of practice.
