Yay! And I think you'll be happy to have the views, especially since it's a long cruise. Seriously, it's an amazing itinerary. Sadly, the 2021 cruise is so expensive compared to 2020 - we had 3 in a balcony cabin for far, far less than what 2 would cost next summer (and we didn't have any early booking discount).
I seriously cannot believe how expensive this cruise is. I thought Alaska was expensive. Ha! Total bucket list trip:) And I think dd may ignore me for the better part of two weeks, but the views will be amazing.

Is the AA flight after September 30th? I’m in the same situation. Need to cancel an AA flight to Hawaii on October 1st. I’m in wait and see mode.
I spoke to them on Twitter. Our flights are Sept 7. DH's they gave his miles back. Mine I will only get credit good through the end of 2021, because they have not cancelled my flight. I am going to monitor my flight on the current days for the next few days, I suspect they are cancelling my flight at the last minute each day. It's still up for booking tomorrow and listed under flight status tomorrow, but is not found in flight status for today or yesterday. Not that it will help my case any, but it's an argument. I will also wait a bit I think to see if they extend the quarantine to see if that helps. The last thing I need is $1200 in AA credit LOL. My case is a bit strange too, as it's only one way, flying out of Hawaii, so that might not help my case at all.

Thank you for letting me know. I’m resigned that I’ll have to pay cancellation fees for October 1st. But like you I’m going to wait until the last possible minute to see if I can avoid them. Ours are also one way flights, and I paid to upgrade to main cabin extra so I’ll probably lose that money too. Big sigh...

Also glad to know Twitter worked. I’ll definitely go that route when the time comes 👍🏻

When Disney came out with the July 11 reopening date (our original reservations spanned 7/10-7/15), I decided I didn't want to go if we couldn't do ROTR. We had a split stay with the Swan in the middle. I had snagged those 2 nights for 40k/night Marriott pts a long time ago. When I went to change dates to the end of July, it listed a 50k/night cost. I went ahead and did it anyway and when it went thru it still "charged" me the 40 per night.
I've never made a change with Marriott before. Is that typical?
I'm surprised they didn't charge you the 50k. That's great.

Can someone help me with AA tickets with points? I'm looking at web special main cabin vs main cabin. I'm trying to buy tickets to visit my parents in Northern Michigan this summer. I'm so confused--it says websavers can't be changed but they can be cancelled for a fee.

It really is one of those "trip of a lifetime" itineraries. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. I'm still grieving having to cancel it this summer. Next year's itinerary is a really, really good one.

A main cabin ticket can be changed for free, as long as it’s the same amount of points and same departure and arrival. The web special can’t be changed, you need to pay the re-deposit fee to have the miles refunded if you want to make any changes.

I think AA is allowing changes to tickets purchased by 6/30 (if traveling by 9/30). You might want to look into that. Web savers generally do have a fee to reinstate your miles but I know they waved my fee when I cancelled my July trips.

Sadly I canceled my (off site) hotel reservations for what was supposed to be a family trip to Disneyland in late June.

I have a backup reservation for early July but am not hopeful.

Unfortunately, I tried to log into my Costco travel account to cancel the rental car and I cannot seem to log in!

Thank you--sounds like the websaver should work.

just working for me...maybe it’s back up and running

Called the Chase travel people last night to book our cruise. Was on the phone for over an hour. Super excited that SOMEHOW it was $700 LESS than on the carnival website?! She said I would have a confirmation email within 2-4 hours. It has now been 12 hours and I still don't have one. All of my points are gone. And the remaining balance hasn't been charged. And the travel portal says I don't have any trips planned. UUUUUGH.

ALSO. Frontier had sent me an email saying I would get "another offer" last week about my whole credit/points issue. And I still haven't gotten anything. So somewhere in their system there is a $460 credit floating around that I still have no clue how to access or use. But I have to use it by somewhere around the 20th of this month or I lose it. Is it Monday? Did I somehow miss 4 days of last week? Because it sure feels like a Monday.

The chase travel portal never showed my Royal Caribbean cruise booked on UR points.

Our 5 week old rolled over from his tummy to his back tonight 😳
those big strong 'from the get-go' babies can do things a lot sooner than you'd expect.... I had one of each, a more typical baby that hit milestones ate an average age (except for walking, that was 10 months,so early-average) and one that did EVERYTHING too early, all on his own. On your mark, get set,GO!:rotfl2: (my 2nd sat ALONE playing with toys the day he turned 4 months old, crawled at 5 months, walked alone at 8.5 months) a handful to keep up with but so much fun! I wish I could go back and do it again... enjoy your little guy!:lovestruc

UR doesn't list a cruise in the trips portal.... did you get any email or anything confirming? you could call again, I'm assuming slow service due to being busy? it was weird, when I had one booked it was like no record anywhere except what I had printed out
