Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

So I just got moved from BWI to a 1 bedroom BCV (Aug 8-13). My choices were extremely limited. :(
Do they allow cot requests? There are 5 of us, DD25 will share king with her 2 little ones. Sharing the pullout with my 8 yr old is not enticing...

I honestly think that after the NBA vacates the YC, they would likely close SAB again if the hotel does not have at least moderate occupancy. I think the sole opening factor will be the number of guests.

With Disneyland delaying their opening in Calif. I wouldn't be surprised if the opening isn't pushed back a couple more weeks in Disney World. I'm thinking the NBA players will be the only ones allowed at the resorts.

California laws are way stricter than FL and it's a smaller property. I don't think there's any going back for WDW plans with the level of complexity in place for the whole resort. But you could be right, I just hope for the sake of everyone travelling this summer that's not the case.

Sadly we've decided to switch our 2021 trip from 3 weeks YC in July to 10 days CBR in July. We thought that with things possibly not being 100% back to normal we'd wait until July 2022 before we do the big YC 3 week stay. Could you change us on you BOG list please.

We're baaaaaaack!
So excited to say we can officially be added back to the Be Our Guest list here! After originally being at YC in April, we had to change to Sept. but nothing was available so we went with CSR-DT. Now that's not opening until Oct. so I called to see what we could get and got a great deal on BC with a garden/woods view for our dates! We will be there Sept. 13-20 celebrating my retirement from my 1st job after 22 years. After all the craziness going on and how much I have been working during the pandemic at my new job I am so looking forward to getting away to the Disney bubble with DH, even with the restrictions.
Not sure if this is accurate, but the CM I spoke to said that on her end it shows Stormalong Bay will not be open until Aug. 24th when the entire YC/BC opens. Of course that could change...

I expected them to open SAB when the BC/YC opens. I'm glad that you got a confirmation from a CM. :)
There would be a whole lot of angry guests if they didn't open SAB. ;)

This was posted on another thread as well from
another guest being given this info from a CM so it sounds promising!! We’re there 9/7-9/12 and can’t wait.

We currently have a club level reservation booked for Thanksgiving week At the Boardwalk. I really don’t see how club level will happen this year so we were thinking about booking a standard view room at the Beach club. Does anyone have any experience with these rooms? I’m sure the view is not that great. We have stayed at the Boardwalk and Yacht club, but not Beach.

We have stayed standard once at BC and had a really neat corner room overlooking the porte cochere. It was great, till they were unloading what sounded like large metal boulders at 2am and yelling back and forth about the football game. Fortunately, they were nice enough to move us to another room the next day. Didn't even mind the view of the roof at all! Seriously though, we don't spend a huge amount of time in our room so the view isn't a big deal. Being able to sleep at night after a long day in the parks is though :rotfl2:

We have stay at the beach and the yacht club a dozen times. Mostly on club level but at few times at the BC standard, pool view. Request a full balcony if you can, there are less of them at the beach club. The standard views I got were parking lot or roof views which were not the greatest. The pool views were nice and we got to see fireworks at Epcot and sometimes HS. Good luck

At least 90 percent of the standard view rooms at the BC are on the 3rd or 4th floors overlooking the large, flat roof. Half of those rooms face Storm Along Bay and half face the parking lot. They aren't bad rooms although a garden view room would be a little nicer. :)

If CL does not happen you will receive a price reduction to match a non-CL room of the same view that you booked and in most cases you will be in the same CL room with your reserved view.

The BWI has better options for STD rooms than the BC in my opinion.
