Show was cute, but it was super dated.
I would disagree that they are too dated. Incredibles 2 wasn’t very long ago. Monsters is still set to get a new series on Disney+. Cars just opened a show in DHS not too long ago. They'll need some kind of very popular IP to build around. I don't think they have any right now that would justify a full land being built in the tradition of Toy Story Land and SWGE. Cars/Monsters/Incredibles are too dated right now I think for a full land. Especially since this won't even be planned for a few years, built for a few more years after that. So basically popular in 2030.
I agree with this. Also they could always put out another sequel. These characters are still well liked too. And honestly if you make it a fun area with great rides the theming itself doesn't matter that much. Relevancy aside, I have friends as well as my DH that aren't Harry Potter fans at all but those were there favorite areas still at Universal because of how immersive and well done the theming was.I would disagree that they are too dated. Not to mention that Carsland at DCA is AWESOME!!!!!!I would disagree that they are too dated. Incredibles 2 wasn’t very long ago. Monsters is still set to get a new series on Disney+. Cars just opened a show in DHS not too long ago.

You know what always drove me crazy about that show? It's super nitpicky and I know it's based on a cartoon but Ariel has spent her whole life as a mermaid but she gets human legs and jumps of her platform like Simone Biles. Don't you'd think it would take some time to get used to legs after having fins her whole life? For some reason that always bothered me. At least make her a little wobbly when she first gets up.
That comment is now officially my favorite part of that attraction!!!she gets human legs and jumps of her platform like Simone Biles
I agree, and the last time I was there, the Arial couldn't stay on key. I've never in my life been to a Disney performance where the lead singer was tone deaf but it made the whole show cringeworthy. I felt like I was at a high school play.Show was cute, but it was super dated.
The theater has always had seats. Are you confusing theaters with Disney Jr?That comment is now officially my favorite part of that attraction!!!
We haven’t seen the show since our first trip in 2008. Our DD(6 at the time) was seriously hacked because she didn’t want to see Ariel with her legs!! (Similar story with Belle in her blue dress versus her yellow gown...) And evidently she held a grudge, cuz she never wanted to go back. And sitting on that damp musty floor.......I was happy to oblige! Blech.
No, I definitely remember sitting at Playhouse Disney (it’s been that long!) but would’ve sworn Mermaid was floor seating too. Maybe I just remember it feeling squishy carpet? I just remember it seeming damp and smelling moldy (I’m sensitive to mold), I guess from the bubbles. Count me amongst those who’d like to see it reimagined as the Animation Academy again—loved that. The theater has always had seats. Are you confusing theaters with Disney Jr?
