I think @Albort is the Apple expert. I don't believe they run BF promos on new products, but perhaps on the model from last year. If I recall correctly the promos are different every year. I want the URs, so I am going to load up my account for when I am ready to purchase.

Got it. She wants the new IPad Air because the old one doesn't work with the new pencil. I only have a vague idea of what any of this means but she wants it for art in college since she figures she can't have a big easel in her dorm room (and she won't be taking art classes). I'm thinking we should just hold off and buy from one of the big box stores.

I'd look into apple student discounts and see if she waited until the fall when she has an .edu email she'd be able to get a discount, would probably be the cheapest. Unless she needs it before then for something. And that's if they are still doing that program, I'm not positive.

I'd only do the big box if you could get a better return on gc from one, if you are going to pay by gc and don't want the extra warranty etc. If paying by cc I'd wait to see which looks like a better deal. We don't really know what BF will entail this year. I'd think in the next few weeks we'll start seeing ads get leaked from the early stores if they are still planning to do big sales. They all may do more online than in person deals.

Also Amazon's whatever sale is coming up soon, though who knows what it'll include.

haha, im no Apple expert, but so far, we only see a $10 discount on them at costco... Im not sure if Walmart policies are the same as video games, but walmart tends to sell for a small discounts when u go into stores and buy them in person...

as for online, Never seen apple directly sell their devices at a discount, its usually other places... we always see the lowest end iPads go on sale constantly but the more higher end ones dont go on sale that much. i waited for about 11 months waiting for a cellular version of the iPad to go on sale. I did however bought my first gen iPad Pro with cellular on ebay on black friday though. its a very awesome tool to use in college with the apple pencil.

Trying to decide between the JW Marriott Grande Lakes, Gaylord Palms and the new JW Marriott Bonnet Creek. Mainly looking for a nice pool. Any thoughts?

I stayed at Grande Lakes when I was looking for a conference hotel in 2019. It was very nice but huge. I'd probably try the JW Bonnet Creek since it's brand new.

I was thinking of using both my 50K certificates at JW Marriott Bonnet Creek in January, if I go. That's still a huge 'if'.

I could care less about a pool until it comes to the grands and then we are looking for zero entry, with kiddie features. I'm also torn - I could use the big house in Reunion if it's not rented out, but - there's probably going to be just one of me and it's - just too big, I think. I don't like the idea of being there with all those empty rooms. Downstairs would be okay as it's almost completely open. But, upstairs I would be sort of spooked.

I'm not thinking in terms of parks. More like a warm respite in winter, or should I say warmer?

And, I've been reading a lot on other parts of the Disboards. It's really difficult for me to post under a lot of these forums. I'm put off by a lot of the moderator activity, even when I'm on topic and there should not be an issue. No, they are not censoring what I've written - that's very little right now.

I'm used to this mega thread and pretty much keep up with it. Not so much other threads on the Dis. For instance if I go to a forum and it has 3K responses to something that catches my eye, I skip it. It's too overwhelming to get into, for the light reading that I come there for, so that makes me catch why some people will actually post a separate credit card question on the Budget Board.

In any case, I find that the predominant activity is 'merged you to the existing thread'. Or, 'somebody answered your question so this is over'. Locked thread. Leaves no room for any future ideas or comments. This action is not because someone misspoke or is trying to cause trouble. So, I see that on many of the forums there is less and less to catch your interest. I certainly agree with stopping threads that go south, but there just seems to be an increasing number of redirected postings. Makes it pretty boring. Then there is the Community board.......

With the demise of the Disney experience this year, perspective has changed. It's too bad this forum is not really keeping up with that.
