September '20 WISH Challenge - New Beginnings

I really like One's Man Dream and walk thru it at least once each trip... and have to stop and say "hello" to Naked Abe.

I love colonial architecture in general and also enjoy finding beautifully designed vistas thru-out Disney World, unexpected places are the best... and I like to sit in those chairs, rocking and people watching.

My people come from the lands of fjords and trolls.

I've only been during the holidays three times, this was 2018 and the first time I got to see The Storytellers at EPCOT.

I saw Nemo the first year it opened and was so bored by the music I skipped it every trip up until last June when it was so hot and muggy anything with air conditioning was a go. I had a seat upfront right by the runway and was mesmerized by the puppeteering.

Another beautifully designed and unexpected vista.

Also from June of last year, I went to Hoop de Doo on my birthday and was seated at one of the tables right up front by the stage.

This was my first trip to the Land (been to the World 12+ times) and the BF’s first trip to Cali in general. I also happened to be ~8 weeks pregnant! So we did an announcement pic. Peep the seasick bands on my wrists. I was nauseated the WHOLE trip, pissed that I had to spend my vacation sober (seriously lol), and double pissed that many of the rides were off limits for me. BUT what a memory it was! Also the BF HATED DL :eek:So all future trips will be solo or me and beeb. Fortunately for me, I love a solo Disney trip haha!

Love all the photos! My brother lived in Cocoa Beach, so every year I posed my guys in front of the giant towel display at Ron Jon's! Such fun to see them grow through the years.

I am officially overweight and no longer obese! Today's eating may change that--ha ha! We stopped at a bakery after seeing DS1.

We had fun visiting the construction site. DS1 said there were 262 cement trucks, about 30 per hour, and they poured seven feet thick at the bottom of the building. They started at 2:30 AM and were almost done around 10:30 when we were there. It was a massive operation!

And now it is on to SELF-CARE SUNDAY...
what do you have planned for yourself?
Sleeping in. Then my Dynamic Recovery workout (yoga/stretching). Grocery pickup at noon when I drop my daughter off at work. Then husband and son are going golfing. So I have some quiet time to myself. I do need to finish lesson planning. And then I will work on my meal plan/prep for the week.

Long day yesterday so taking it easy today. Hopefully watching the Emmy's and football tonight. Looking for a way to use up some cereal DS doesn't like. We are on a quest to find a cereal he likes so one morning a week dh and I can sleep in a bit (self care right?). So far we have tried coco puffs, reese's puffs, fruit loops and honey nut cheerios. The reese's puffs are closest to tolerable...any suggestions on what your families like?
Being lazy today after dd put in another tough night. May see what my garden is doing...probably pretty much dead since I haven't been able to bend down in almost a month. *sigh*

My self-care started yesterday. I really enjoyed walking thru Crate and Barrel looking at all the lovely things and am (finally) really happy with the set of dishes I chose. I just got some of the salad plate size to start, since that's the size I use for my meals and I'm not hosting any of the holiday meals this year (another bit of intentional self-care there!) While shopping I remembered PF Chang was right next door so I went over for lunch and filled my belly with their spicy chicken, loving every bite. Until I didn't...there was something in it that triggered an allergic reaction, not too bad just some coughing and a raspy throat and this morning my eyes are a bit swollen. But man it tasted good.

It's early here, 7:30am, and there's a lovely light cloud cover with light blue skies... an invitation to do something out of doors, but not sure what yet. I really want to start knitting something, but I'm not sure what, I did start digging thru my yarn stash for some ideas. Other than that self-care will be to get back on track with my eating, so I'm feeling better this week and I'm better able to handle the work stress, which is going to continue as I'm still juggling the same things.

I LOVE Crate & Barrel.

I have a similar reaction from MSG which might be in their food. It took me a while to find a Chinese restaurant in my area that 1. Doesn't have a bad rating from the health department, and 2. Doesn't cook food with MSG. We had it last night. It's called "Hong Kong Tokyo," and they serve both Chinese and Japanese food. Delicious! And it doesn't give me food poisoning or an allergic reaction! Win! Win! Win!

Let’s share some motivational pictures/quotes with each other!

The weather is going to be so nice this week that it will be a pleasure to get out for my walks. I really want to lose 5lbs by Thanksgiving, so I got my notebook out to track my meals. I went grocery shopping, so dinners are planned out for the next few days.

I'm taking Saturday as my self care day since I didn't do a single thing after visiting DS1. Today is my day to sleep in, but I was awake so got up when the twins did and let DH snooze. Got three loads of laundry on the line, video chatted with DS2, planned a few meals, and the clock is chiming 9 PM and I just got the groceries put away from my mindless trip to the grocery store (I did have a list, but was hoping inspiration would hit while there--it didn't!).

First full week of school here we come!

@ShannyMcB Have you tried Life? I don't eat breakfast cereals anymore, but I really like it. The twins like frosted mini wheats and honey bunches of oats with almonds (which DH eats for breakfast every morning). Good luck! I know at school they serve some cinnamon square cereal, don't know what it is called. Does your grocery store have a bulk section? They sometimes have single servings of cereal. Oh! I loved sugar snaps as a kid--think that's the name.
