I think the point was that HOP included Nixon even though he was impeached. Changing HOP to eliminate Trump would be erasing history even though it is something that half this country seems to want done. This is why I voted for Muppets. I'd rather change it completely than have it politicized.

Nixon was not impeached. He resigned before the impeachment process started.

Keeping this on topic I voted keep it as it is, adding Presidents as usual.

Since I was curious, others might be as well, just to the footprint of the Hall of Presidents and what scale attraction could replace it, if they went a more significant change.

From this image from easywdw you can see it's pretty decent size - not as big as something like Small World or Pirates or anything, but at least as big as Peter Pan, Pooh, Buzz, etc. - so definitely could fit a dark ride there

The Hall of Presidents is roughly 25,000 sq ft.
Peter Pan is roughly 16,000 sq ft.
Just to toss it into numbers for people.

To me, the only point of HoP ever was to have a place to sit down, cool off, and maybe take a micro-nap.
I voted for the shorter version of Hamilton. That's a terrific idea!

I've totally avoided heat exhaustion in the building many times. So as long as the building remains air conditioned I'm good.

Hamilton is an interesting idea.

I vote for Muppets. I really Loved the Great Moments in history show. Enough to get kids interested in learning ( yes I said learning) about historical events. Paul Revere and the Dec of Indep. It was very charming and fun. I have preferred the American Adventure in Epcot over the Hall of President for years as far as a history show in concerned.

I have not visited HOP in a very long time.

I enjoyed Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln at DL.

Those things said, I would like to see them shorten HOP--maybe only have key historical figures speak versus always having the sitting president speak. That would also keep them from having to shut it down for so long with a new administration. All they'd need to do is create the new animatronic and pop it in somewhere.

I'll take it a step further, I'd re theme the entire Liberty Square area. Move HOP to American Adventure if they must have it. I like the idea of Sleepy Hollow and tie it into HM, Bring in Dr Facilier and his friends from the other side. Keep it light and not too dark.

They really should do something. The American pavilion is one of the more boring countries of Epcot. Not to mention that MK already has a liberty Square. I think the Muppets belong back in liberty Square.

HoP definitely does not need to be replaced. We need to find a way to come together and love America from both sides of the aisle again. I'd be for coming up with a new show that everyone can love - if that's even possible.

That show exists, it's the American Adventure.

We love the American Adventure show but agree that the American pavilion can be improved. Notably, there should be a signature or table service restaurant that features regional specialties like baked Alaska, Wisconsin cheeses, Maine clam bake, beignets, etc. The menu could rotate a few times each year to cover all of the wonderful food varieties we have here. Only having a quick service restaurant is not enough.

TheVisionarySoul, a poster on WDWMagic, is reporting that the Muppets will indeed be taking over the Hall of Presidents!

Again, I'm not saying if they are right or wrong, just saying what they are saying....
I don't believe anything that site says.

I always thought it was kinda out of place as is. Magic Kingdom is such a fantasy-based park with far off futures, trips into animated worlds, and other whimsical themes. Then you get a bunch of real life people basically explaining the history of america that isn't much beyond your average high school history class. Nothing else in the parks really screams "educational" to that to degree (in my opinion anyway). Would also be nice to have a show or attraction that doesn't need to go down for months every 4-8 years, both for us and imagineers.

I vote muppets from this list! Only because I worry about the longevity of Hamilton (interest has already waned among my peers of 20 somethings).

That areas of the park is referred to as Liberty Square and is about US independence. If you don't want any "real world" stuff in MK then that whole areas needs to be re-themed and re-named.

The main message at HoP is that our democracy and our presidency and our country has survived many many issues but has always persevered and remained strong even through a civil war and other trials. If anything we need that message more then ever today. We will get through our current issues and our country and our democracy will survive. I think we need to reinforce that message more then ever today.

I see where you're coming from, but if I'm not mistaken the only attractions in that area are Haunted Mansion, The Riverboat and HoP. I'd hardly say HM says anything about American independence. The Riverboat's voiceover is sorta relevant to that theme I admit. The Heritage House gift shop is gone, there's a christmas store, HM gift shop and New England restaurant. I dunno, just kinda seems like a stretch to consider the area (well) themed to US history in it's current state.

I don't hate HoP by any means, but I dunno if anyone going in to cause a raccous or be upset is gonna be swayed by the message of the attraction. I imagine they're not even listening to/comprehending it to begin with. (Sorry this is so long)

Edited to clarify that Nixon was almost impeached and avoided it by resigning. I was trying to say that just because a President's tenure was controversial doesn't mean it should be ignored in a place like HOP. Good or bad, it is still a part of our history.
Exactly my point, piccolopat! :) Thanks for making it more eloquently.
