Hmmmm. I had a tracfone that I used for camping trips because my at the time Sprint service didn't get reception but Verizon did. I wonder where that phone is?? Somewhere in a drawer. Do cell phone numbers stay active even when not in use and no money on the account? I know the funds would have expired.

I have a need for a number for someone that I can add to my account for a few days.

I just switched most of my automatic payments to my Chase Disney card to get the 5% up to $1500 in purchases. Would have switched the streaming to my Discover IT, but will max out Disney first and then back to sock drawer that will go until another 5% deal comes along. Once I max out the Disney 5% I will change the streaming to Discover and hopefully remember to use the right card at home improvement stores, Costco, and gas stations, and the freedom unlimited 3% categories.....

I don't know if I ever had an account. I bought a $10 flip phone at Walmart and put maybe $10 credit on it a few times via online, I believe. I guess that would be an account but it's at least 5 years ago. Not expecting the phone to be of use - just need the number. I have a Galaxy S8 I could use. It's for a family member that will visit, and that I will drop and pickup when they play tourist downtown. We can have up to 5 phones on our xfinity account for no extra charge.

I did not have a positive experience, but this was a year or 2 ago when I was loading them to serve. I purchased two cards, swiped them, and they drained the $200 but did not credit the account. It took me weeks and many phone calls, emails, and finally having to send information snail mail to get it resolved. I will never purchase MCGC again.

Thanks for the info. I think I will skip it and wait for the next sale on the Visa GC - they worked fine for me.

I've bought them before no issues until recently. The last time neither mine nor @PlanePrincess cards were activated. When I called the contact us number to find out what happened, I was told I had to got to Staples to get them activated. When I got to Staples they gave me a phone number to call that was no longer in service. When I went back they gave me another phone number. I called them and they connected me to someone else that was unable to assist or knew which way to direct me. I called back and explained again and was given another phone number to call. This was the person that was finally able to get the cards activated. So it's hit or miss.

I think I will wait for the visas for the next sale. Thanks for letting me know.

At such a loss. I don't think I can go to Naples on Saturday. There is so much drama going on with my son, my ex doesn't want to deal with him, and I don't really want to take him to see my parents. And the drama with my son is causing drama with my daughter. I really need a vacation and need to see my parents

Has anyone used Auto Europe for a car rental? Their prices are much cheaper that everything else I'm seeing which is making a bit weary to book through them. Also my flight is scheduled to land at 11:59 pm. If I have a reservation with a rental place at the airport will they stay open until my plane lands? Most close at midnight.

We've used them for Scotland and Spain. They're one of the first places I check for Europe car rentals. No issues at all. We did get the insurance hard sell at Hertz EDI, but that has nothing to do with Auto Europe. Had to pull out the cc insurance policy, which I had printed out, and point out where it says we're covered.

I'm not sure about the late arrival. Does it let you put a pick-up time of 1 am?

No the closest I can search for is 11:30 pm for most and 11:45 pm for some. My plan was to book something now that can be cancelled and then call the rental company and see if they'll stay open until the plane lands and we can get there.

Bank of America website. Did anyone figure out how to do autopay on the Biz card? I am clueless on finding that.

Also, i see the two accounts - a Corp account and a BOA Biz cash rewards. Since I could not figure out the autopay, as soon as the first charge hit, I paid it. but maybe I did it wrong. Corp account has a balance of 1,200 which reflects the 2 charges I made net of the payment. BOA Biz account has a balance of 2,800 which is the 2 charges I have made but NOT the payment. Did I mess up and pay the corp account but it doesn't count against the CC?

Dang it. Sent dd a support link for the Delta Gold, she is moving out and wants the miles and could use the $200 home improvement credit. But she got the darn pop up. She is only 25, so only has one Amex, but she uses it regularly, but her purchases (which granted are not large) and has been an AU on my Delta since 2007. I thought since she hadn't cancelled any cards, she'd be safe. Guess not :-(.

Wonder if she could get an MR card, she freelances for an editor, paid on 1099?

Vaccine floodgates are opening in VA. I have an appt. for Wednesday an hour north. Today I got a call from my md offering me an appointment next week. And from a waitlist I was on at a kids' urgent care offering me an appointment Wednesday (about a half hour closer than the one I already have). Starting to feel more optimistic about travel!

Some people get the pop-up on one card but not another. Or sometimes they don't get it if they don't use a support. If there's another card she wants, she could try that. If still pop-up, maybe try it without the support.

I haven't paid much attention, but I think I've read that buying Marriott GCs isn't a good option... Is it because they are difficult to use/find?

We have a stay this weekend, it's $100... DH's Brilliant credit just reset and he also has the $200/$50 promo on his card. I could pay the room rate then add a gift card for the other $200?

I have found one Marriott not too far from me that sells them. I haven't had too much trouble using them, I ask at the desk to apply them to prepay when I check in, if the card is more than the room cost, I can ask they apply a set amount. It may be hit or miss based on which property, I did this at a Residence Inn a few times.
