Bedroom TV?

We got rid of it years ago. I felt like it was on at night just because and made us stay up later than usual. When we go to bed now, we go to sleep. I guess I should say it's a problem for me...DH can fall asleep anywhere, anytime, through anything. LOL I find we have the same problem in hotels too...hubby puts the TV on and falls immediately asleep, I get distracted by the TV when I was ready to fall asleep before he turned it on.

Nope. Love having a tv in the bedroom. Immediately bought a new one a couple of months ago when the tv went out.

Dh watches a lot of sports and programs I don't like. A second tv gives me a chance to watch something.

I like to watch tv before bed and when I'm getting dressed in the morning.

I used to have a tv in my bedroom when I was a kid, same for when I was in uni (because my bedroom and living area were the same). Now I have a seperate bedroom I decided not to put a tv in my bedroom and I think I will never get one again anymore. I don't watch a whole lot of tv anyway and I can never get comfortable in bed if I have to be half up to watch tv, so I will probably end up getting up to move to the sofa anyway to continue watching there.

We used to fall asleep with the TV on but at some point 10 or so years ago just stopped with the practice. We both decided a nice dark room was more conducive to sleep. We still have a TV in the bedroom, it is just rarely used.

Growing up I always slept with the TV on all night. I kept that practice all through college and even many years after. Within the last year or so I've started turning it off before I go to sleep (or at least trying to, every now and then I'm more tired than I think and fall asleep, but wake up shortly after and turn it off). But I wouldn't ever consider not having one in my bedroom.

I grew up in a one TV household, in the living room. didnt get my own TV until College.. Now we have in our home a TV in the living room, Kids hang out roon, offiice/gym, DDs room and our bedroom. Those are real TVs. son uses his huge computer monitor and I use Amazon Echo in the kitche to stream.

It seems we went from one TV to too many overnight. The TV in our bedroom never gets used.. Its just a place to put the old, but very good one when the kids got a huuuuge theatre style for their hang out room ( it was a super duper deal we couldnt turn down even thought they had a large one already).

in the end when it comes to viewing while in bed,, we all prefer to use our smart phones or ipads, go figure...

I do enjoy traveling in hotels and for some reason its still a treat having that TV at the foot of the bed ( the one in our bedroom is off the side in a seating area, not by the bed).

I do find it interesting on how many grew up differently, my college roomate freshman year grew up with her own TV and would set a timer and fall asleep with it on. Annoyed the heck out of me and we had to have that " rooomate talk" as it kept me awake at night. when I sleep I need dark and quiet.

Where you my college roomate lol. ?

We have one in our room, but barely use - I prefer reading before I sleep and DH just goes to sleep. I won’t remove it though because it is good to have in there if needed (like after my surgery a few years ago).
