The AF just posted on my American Airlines Citi card. I think I'm going to cancel it today. I doubt they'll offer any retention and I am just so fed up with American Airlines, I probably wouldn't take it anyway.

Hoping to get some advise...

I've had a CSR for well over 48 months. Our kids are getting older and we're hoping to start traveling internationally for vacations so I applied and got approved for Amex Plat. I'm not keeping both cards due to the high AF so I plan to downgrade my CSR to a no AF card in September (annual fee is due.).
Is it work applying to the CSP? Great sign-up bonus but not thrilled to have another AF, specially if wife and I apply and get it separately. Is it easy to recoup the $99 AF?
Thanks!
I would downgrade your CSR right now and apply for the CSP. The signup bonus is well worth the $99 AF! You need to wait at least 4 days after PCing to apply for the CSP. I downgraded yesterday and am planning to apply next week.

Is it difficult to redeem a Disney digital gift card at WDW for hotel or dining? I still have $50 for Best Buy and we will be in Disney in a week. We don't buy much merchandise so I'm hoping there is a way to load it into my account to pay for food kiosks or my hotel balance.

I transferred my digital GC balance to a physical one I already had. Easy to do on the Disney GC website. Mobile order you also just need the number. I don't think MDE saves the GC (DL app doesn't), so I had the number saved in Notes on my phone and copy/pasted each time. Or you can print it out, there's a barcode on it. I would think they can scan that anywhere, but I haven't tried.

If the sign up bonus posted 48 months ago you can PC your CSR to a no annual fee card now, Chase will refund a few months of the AF. Then wait 4 days or more to apply for the CSP now while the bonus is 100k URs.
Once you have the card you can generate a support link that your wife can use to apply for her own CSP…she gets the 100k URs and you get 20k support URs

A couple of Quick Southwest FYIs:
  • Next release is still holding at Sept 16th so it will be awhile there.
  • Free change window hasn't been open for quite awhile, some are speculating this may be coming to an end OR extremely limited in the future.
  • Southwest 65k Offer on personal cards shows "apply by 7/14" on the support link page. If this offer interests you, just 2 weeks left to apply it seems (although sometimes the support links live on for a week beyond that date). This is an all-time high offer I believe, but not ideal timing for a CP attempt.

I am renting a car (locally) next weekend to drive to Disneyland (YAY!)

I would normally use the CSP for the rental car insurance, but I have that new British Airways card I'm trying to meet MSR on.

Does anyone know whether I can give them the CSP at the beginning of the trip and then change it to the BA card after we get home?

yes, u can do that. When you drop off your car, dont let the person check you in(at the car). walk back to office and switch cards.

Has anyone seen any deals from Chase that includes 5% back on insurance? I was able to get this on my CSP last November and used it to pay my 6 month car insurance premium. My insurance renews in a month and I was hoping to be able to do it again. With Chase I have the Disney, CF, CFF, CSP, CIC, CIU, and SW Plus.

I had one from Amex and redeemed it in May. Haven't seen one recently from Chase.

I can confirm the free change window that just passed was limited to certain airports.

On Monday 6/28…it was not open from ISP-MCO, but it was from LGA-MCO from 10/20-10/30. I was able to book from LGA and change to ISP
