I definitely did a call in for some link that was pointed out on DOC......I feel like this could have been Adam....oh boy. That card is now closed but not sure if I should try and move some of my 335k MR points.

335k is worth so much and I’m sure equates to hard work on your part. I’d be asking myself how I would feel if tomorrow those points vanished. I’m sure it’s tough to transfer them somewhere and not get the best redemption/use had you not been forced to quickly make a decision.
Sorry- this seems crazy that people are getting shutdown for a rep’s behavior.

So, I went onto the UR site to look up how many pts Sea World or Universal (Orlando) tickets were, and they no longer have any attraction tickets like that. Is it just me? Did they remove these? I could swear they had all the theme parks before.

Going to transfer 100k to Delta as a precaution.

(Edit) Sent 100k miles to Delta....I really hate the tax thing where I need to pay $60 to transfer my miles. Wonder if there are any other good MR redemption to transfer out just in case. I would use points to offset charges but the value is soooooo bad.

Seems like a good time to remind everyone Amex is still running 100k + 10% back on dining and small business for 6 months on the Schwab Plat. Yes it takes a 5/24 slot and you can choke a horse with the AF but it allows MR cashouts at $.011 and heading into the holidays that 10% offer could be rather lucrative.

I have seen a lot of posts from people on other boards about having issues with Expedia and other third parties when things happen. It may be an issue by vendor but I've seen enough reports of people where the rental company tells them any changes have to be made by the 3rd party.
I’ve heard the same about hotel stays, I think I’ve booked a few hotel nights on the travel portal and have been lucky with no issues. I have a B&B booked for Hawaii Volcano NP, I will call the B&B to confirm our reservation, don't want any trouble for that part of our trip.

I did check all 4 rentals I have for next year on AutoSlash and only the SFO rental was cheaper but it was through Fox, I’ve read really bad reviews on Fox. I'll keep checking Auto Slash to make sure I'm not overpaying, but with the changes in PYB I think I'll continue using the portal when possible.

Anyone love their robotic vacuum? I need one to deal with all the stuff the puppy brings in the house. Sam's has the Roomba E5 on sale for $230 and Best Buy has the 694 for $250 (plus I can go through RMN).

Guess I should've stayed on hold last night when I called virgin. They never said what the wait would be but now calling they say over an hour. Slept awful too so being up til midnight probably wouldn't have mattered. Oh well. At least the music is different from earlier this summer.

Eta I've changed my mind on the music, it sounds like the same song the entire time. It was a 4 to 6 song loop before.

I ended up getting a shark version on prime day last year when we were moving into our house and we love it. It picks up so much stuff and right now it's just 2 adults and a cat lol. We ended up with a shark over Roomba just because of the deal price and features of Shark vs Roomba at the time. We love it so much I ended up picking up another one on prime day this year and letting it run in the basement weekly. I don't know the details on either of those Roomba models, but I would happily buy a robot vacuum again.

Kinda off topic but looking for some recommendations. I still have 6 days of vacation time that have to be used by the end of the year, no rollover. I'll probably use 2 of them as random days which leaves 4 for a vacation, looking at mid-November. Just got back from WDW last week so looking for something more relaxing, will be just 2 adults. Have enough United points for 2 to go just about anywhere (from Ohio), but no hotel free nights (yet) and not looking to use our MR points on that either, so will pay for hotel or airbnb out of pocket. Anywhooo, thinking about Napa/Sonoma for wine country, thoughts? Possibly Charleston or Savannah, but have been there already. We don't want to go anywhere where we have to test for Covid, we did that for our Iceland trip and want to skip the whole anxiety of waiting for results, etc. (we are vaccinated). It's frustrating because I have 2 events in Jan/Feb that I'll need to dip into next year's vacation right away for, and feel stressed having to use these days in the next 2.5 months. So guess what I'm asking is, where in the US is a good 4-5 night adult only laid-back vacation option (not Florida)?

Is that a good or bad eek? LOL. I was so excited to see a new Hyatt card, but rather disappointed in the details. 75k SUB for $7500 spend, but $199 AF. Might as well get a CIU or CIC. No FNC. :(

That said, I might get it for DH next year if we get close to hitting Globalist. The 5 elite nights for $10k spend will come in handy since we'd be almost there for the MSR anyways.

It only seems to be good for people with large organic spend (to earn the point reimbursement bonus). The 9x on Hyatt spending is good, but I have so many points I rarely spend on Hyatt. I'd rather just get another no annual fee INK and put the organic spending towards other SUBs or on my CIU for 1.5x (I imagine the extra 25,000 points from CIU would be better than my 10% point reimbursement in a given year).

The positive takeaway is that Hyatt has expanded its card portfolio through Chase for the first time, which may mean they will consider premium card options in the future.

Do you have any URs (to transfer to Hyatt)? Miraval is having a BOGO sale. I've never been to one, but I'm intrigued. Includes meals and some activities.

Not good eek… I was really hoping for better benefits.
If the Elite nights stack with the personal that might make it a little better.

Got my outbound booked in biz but couldn't get it on sept 1 or Aug 31 as I wanted so moved back to Aug 24. Will be one more day vacation but I'll get one more day over there. Fingers crossed I can get biz on the Sunday return but will do economy if I have to go come back on the day I need.

The wait ended up about 30 min.

I love shark/ninja products. The sharks were more expensive but maybe i should see what happens with Black Friday sales.

I have 2 Sharks. Love them. We are 4-5 people and 3 cats, one being a long-hair. They clean nicely, rarely get stuck. Downstairs I have a self emptying one (IQ Self Emptying XL) and upstairs is just a basic Shark (Ion AV761). Both bought around Black Friday last year for much less than Roomba. The mapping feature on my downstairs isn't the greatest. I love that I can control them both by app. The upstairs one didn't quite dock one night, drained it's battery and blew the motherboard. Shark sent an entirely new machine. Other than that I love them and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. My friend has the same self emptying Shark and a Eufy upstairs, she likes both of hers, but feels the Shark is a bit better.

I got this one for about $320 for prime day
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S864GPW/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I also love the brushroll because my long hair gets tangled around them. I still have to cut it off sometimes for the robot but it's a small amount and it gets all pushed to the middle. Our main vaccum is also a shark and I've never cut hair off that brushroll.
