I found a puppy and I need some help :) I'm terrible at names and would love some ideas. I do have 4 things I want it to meet - 1. Not a human person's name, 2. One syllable 3. Goes with Dude 4. Sounds ok being yelled or said where others can hear. 5. Disney is ok but not obvious ie not buzz, star wars or marvel :)

He's a mini doxie, currently called cashew as it was a nut litter. There's also a pecan and a walnut. Parents are Tiki and Rebel, they name all their dogs with disney names. The pic with the blue back ground is from yesterday and the bottom shows he's got white on his chest, back feet, like 2 toes and belly have some white.

Already scratched Squirt due to #4 :) Smoke as it's too obvious. Potentially Crush but would have to see personality and really might be too ridic for me to put with Dude.

Dude's name came about as I used to use it as a reaction word, which also means you can see how the day went after picking him up :) It ended up suiting him well. We had a Doc/Docie/Dr Peter Von Weenie, growing up.

Dude and I will pick him up on the 5th, he'll be 8 weeks on the 7th.

It fits none of your requirements, but I'd name him Sirius. He just looks like a Sirius Black to me lol. Also "Dude... Are you Sirus??? What the heck??" See it fits..

Apologies, I meant UR points, I don’t intend to upgrade to CSR right now. I currently have the Prime Visa through Chase as well as the CSP. My wife will likely get one of the ink cards once she incorporates her business. My main motivation for the cards right now is to make our regular spending help fund our Disney trip in 2023.

The Venture X might be a good option for you. You earn 100,000 Capital One points + 2x in every category. The MSR is good for someone with wanting to put everyday spend on it ($10,000 in 6 mos), so you'll earn a total of at least 120k C1 points. Maybe look at some blogs- I did see lots of people reference using the $300 travel credit to purchase third party Disney tickets. And I saw reference to being able to book Disney hotels through the C1 portal. I don't personally have this card but it seemed to fit the bill for you.

We get Peacock free with ATT
We have T-Mobile.

Just a heads up for Legacy Sprint and T-Mobile customers, they have Paramount+ free for a year, and $10/mo off of YoutubeTV for one year. Note on YoutubeTV, if you already have it you have to cancel and then sign back up with the code, I am in the process of this, they assure me I won't loose anything.... We'll see. LOL.

Well, I got my denial letter this morning from Chase for the United biz card that I applied for yesterday. My last card I received was a Cap one Venture X on 12/6/2021 and a SW priority Card on 10/22/2021. And a United Quest personal card on 6/2/2021. The last biz card was a CIP 01/2021. And a Cap One Spark biz on 1/2020 which I will be closing when AF is due. Got it waived last year. I already transferred all my Cap one points to the Venture x card. So I’m 4/24, soon to be 3/24. The letter states that they reviewed my personal and business information. One of the reasons is insufficient installment loan information. I haven’t had a mortgage or car payment in years. So I have no loans. And twice they listed recent request for new credit. One of the statement says one or more request for new credit in the past 12 months. They also used my credit score of 858 analyzing the key factors adversely affecting my credit score. Same reasons for denying the card. Number of requests for new credit in the past 12 months. I did try for another CIC card in May 2021 and was denied. I did not see a phone number to call to discuss. So if anyone has that number I would like it please. What do you all think? I applied for this biz card using my ss#. Previous business cards were from our business with an EIN.

Is your total Chase credit line across all cards (business and personal) more than 50% of household income or 70-80k, whichever is lower?

For biz recon, I think this number works 888-270-2127. If the issue is the CL, you can see if they'll move CL from another business card to open it (can't move personal).

Hi guys, I haven't been on here in about 2 weeks, and there's been 30 new pages that I don't have time to catch up on, LOL. Hope there was nothing juicy I missed!

We were gone on a cruise, and I am glad to report back that no one in our party of 4 got sick, and we in fact felt safer on this trip than any other we've been on in the pandemic thus far! If you have any questions, please feel free to DM me. We were on Carnival.

We are planning only domestic travel this year now. Were supposed to go to China in October (cancelled trip from 2020), but with all the uncertainty and new lockdowns occuring there, we are almost certain that trip is off the table. We'll lose our deposit of $600 that was paid pre-Covid with no travel insurance. You live and you learn.

Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone? We are thinking of taking a trip to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons in August for a week. The IHG points price is kind of steep, but we don't have any plans for all our IHG points at the moment, and with changes to the program coming, I'm thinking we should go ahead and use them instead of hoarding, in case of a devaluation soon. We would get 4th night free, so it comes out to around 42K pts per night. I did find cheap flights using AA points, only 25K round trip for the two of us.

Any recommendations for a hotel in Grand Teton area? We don't have any cc affiliated hotels in that area, and prices of hotels are insane! I looked on Airbnb as well, and they're just as expensive. Has anyone stayed outside the area, like Alpine or Victor, and found it to be acceptable with the drive back/forth? With the short amount of time we have, we might just have to suck up the cost to be closer.

To keep this all cc related, I am looking for our next credit card to earn a signup bonus. We haven't had one in about 6+ months. Just not sure what to get right now. The trips we have planned this year are Chicago, Yellowstone, & Outer Banks. We may try to do an all-inclusive in December in Dominican Republic, but not sure yet. We are okay paying cash on that one. The Chicago and Yellowstone trips air are covered, as well as hotels for the most part (see above). Outer Banks we'll probably have to pay an airbnb so we can take our dogs. I am thinking maybe a Hyatt card or Amex Surpass? We are planning Japan for November 2023, so we could get a jump on hotel points for those. Or Amex Delta or Southwest card to get airline points for a positioning flight for Japan. Any recommendations? Probably makes most sense to go with Chase cards first, due to 5/24.

If you are looking for a good place to use your IHG points- this might be a good alternative to DR in Dec. I'm reticent to share this here because I think it's such a good redemption and I hate to make it popular- but the Kimpton Seafire in Grand Cayman is 70k IHG points/nt. It's a stunning resort. Retails for about $1650/nt many nights, with all of the taxes/fees, so it's a great redemption. The resort fee is a bit steep for some at $80 a night, but it includes their morning coffee, afternoon social hour and actually really great watersports, like SUP, kayaking, rafts, free bike rental, and yoga/exercise classes. It's up there with the Ritz/Four Seasons. The Caymans has been so difficult with their reopening plan, and there are definitely some hoops to jump through, but hoping that gets better as the year goes on. We'll be there for Easter, fingers crossed.

This sounds awesome, and would definitely be a great alternative to DR! I'll have to look into this. Never been to Grand Cayman, but have heard good things :) And basically our only requirement for the December trip is warm, sunny beach, with lots of margaritas in hand, lol.

The personal Hyatt SUB has been low. I'd just get a CIU or CIC. Amex cards are nice for in between Chase cards if you have the spend. Delta is not elevated at the moment. Surpass offer is decent, there's a tiered 180k for 10k spend that's available via support. Also possible to pull up a tiered 200k offer, but doesn't seem to be available via support.

Thanks... I guess it probably does make more sense to get a CIU or CIC, for almost the same amount of URs as the Hyatt SUB. Problem is, we no longer have a card to transfer to partners, since we downgraded everything. Can a CIU be upgraded to a CIP? If so, that may be the easiest solution for that problem, as neither DH or I are eligible yet for any Sapphire cards.

More than the SUB of the personal Hyatt card. :) CIU/CIC is 75k for $7500 spend now.

You can PC a CIU to a CIP. Or if you have any old Freedom cards, you can PC to a CSR or CSP. Unless you'll be eligible for a Sapphire within a year? Then maybe PC to CIP is better in case they don't let you PC out of a CSR/CSP.

@Pickles516 I like this suggestion for you to consider. I have the Venture X card, and looked at the Cap1 travel portal and a lot of the Disney properties show up on there. The more popular the season, the less availability though. Just picking random dates, I saw Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Art of Animation, Pop Century, Port Orleans Riverside, Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach, Boardwalk, and Allstar Movies available (this varies depending on the days selected). Many more off-site properties are available as well. With the Venture X card, you earn 10x points on hotels booked through their travel portal. I did a spot check to compare prices to Expedia, and the Cap1 portal was $10 less than Expedia for the same night, same resort, same cancelation policy.

Cap1 has a reputation of being unpredictable in terms of approving cards; they're not as easy as Chase or Amex or BoA. And if you're going to pursue more Chase cards in the next year or two, you have to be very aware of your 5/24 status. Those are just things to keep in mind as you decide your path forward.

Did you watch Hawkeye? That actually turned out to be my favorite of all the Marvel Series.
We watched a few episodes but couldn’t get into it. We liked Wanda vision and Loki was okay but we haven’t liked the rest. We’ve been hard to please lately lol

Navy Federal Platinum Card. When I got it the opening offer was 0% for 15 months with 0 BT fee. APR "as low as 5.99%" Mine is a bit higher than that.
She's not eligible for Navy Federal, I don't think. Wouldn't she need a veteran or military or DOD in the family?

Or a roommate. But otherwise yes, you can go back a couple generations. I got in with my Grandfather's service in WWII.

Woo! Got 44k points back rebooking Hilton Tokyo Bay. 54k a night isn't bad but if they want to go down more I'll take it. From here on out I'll call vs cancel and rebook myself. I always worry something will happen in that time frame.

Don't they have to be living and join themselves? I know that's how USAA is so I can't do it. At least that's what our ins person said, the family member has to be a member of USAA for me to be able to join.

Shows how out of the loop I am. I still thought the CIU/CIC was 50K URs. LOL, wow. Definitely gotta get one of these instead then! Can definitely meet that MSR with property taxes and such coming up.

Nope, not eligible for any Sapphire cards until March 2023, and I feel like that's probably cutting it too close to PC and book tickets for a Nov 2023 trip. No old Freedom cards either... just Freedom Flex, which is less than 1 year old. Sounds like best option is to PC our CIU to a CIP later this year so we can transfer to partners and book Japan stuff about a year out.

That's interesting. I always wondered when I would see their commercials how they defined "a family member who has been in the service". I can now qualify through my grandfather!! Thanks!
