At 45, I can't do these red eyes and then teach, LOL. Joined the BF on Friday for a trip out to LA. He had a turn on Saturday to Houston, which meant I just stayed in Long Beach.....A few tidbits from the trip.
They stay at the Westin Long Beach. Our room was so stuffy night 1. The hallways were freezing cold, and it made it that much worse. Add to it we did NOT have a Westin Heavenly bed. The BF was already miserable and we didn't know why. Thursday he started to get body aches. He took a Covid test and it was negative. Well Sat morning around 4am he figured it out. He had sat on a bee Thursday when he mowed the lawn. By Sat morning he had a huge swollen bump on his butt. He started a Z pack that night though and it started to bring relief. But between the hot room, terrible bed and his pain, little sleep was had. I managed to get our room changed Sat while he was out flying. THANK GOD! Sunday we did the whale tour which is something we have both wanted to do for awhile. We didn't see any whales, but we did end up in a pod of over 1k dolphins which was sweet!
On the way home, the load of the flight went from 16 open, to 10 open yesterday morning, to 7 at lunch, to -2 two hours before our flight. Needless to say, panic ensued. But I got on and got home. I'm just paying for it today, and I feel drunk like I'm still on the Whale Watching boat as it was rough getting out there. So that is fun, LOL.
We were really worried about me getting through TSA because the flight crew shows up about 10 minutes before boarding begins. My plan B on that was to just buy CLEAR, LOL. Luckily precheck was fast. I was through in under 5 min. He's supposed to go back next weekend and it's his 40th, and I'm crazy enough to try and do it again, LOL.
