2011 Annual Dues are out

Can someone explain why there is a federal tax allocation. It looks like the budget is set to have zero profit so why is there tax? I am sure I am missing something. Thanks.

We got both our resorts information finally, and I never expected OKW to be as close to our AKV dues as it has become. Only 3 cents a point seperates them now. I really wish the annual meeting would have been that first week like it used to be. We have missed it the last few years because we've had to guess when it will be, and have guessed wrong.

Mike and Doc, I expect to see a full meeting report here on the 10th!!

Animal Programs as the possible reason why? We chose BLT over AKV for the very reason of dues. I was hoping that shared amenities with the CR and one building with one roof would defray some of the operating costs.

I believe Diane means that OKW is rising much faster than she expected in comparison. AKV actually is on the low end for increases. BLT also is increasing faster than AKV on the compounding basis and over last year. 3.1% increase for BLT this year and AKV is only 1.3% higher.

On a compounding basis:
OKW - 3.9%
AKV - 2.1%
BLT - 3%

Of course with less history - especially for BLT it doesn't take much to throw up a percentage so that number may not be meaningful in the long run. AKV is a bit of a happy surprise though! Maybe they save on mowing b/c the animals do that. :rotfl:

Were the Vero Beach subsidized dues amount for 2011 posted somewhere? If you could post that information it would be greatly appreciated.

The approximate annual dues per point for 2011 at each resort are: Bay Lake Tower $3.90, Grand Californian $4.07, Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas $4.31, Saratoga Springs $4.52, Old Key West $4.99, Animal Kingdom $5.02, Beach Club Villas $5.28, Wilderness Lodge $5.35, Boardwalk Villas $5.46, Hilton Head $5.68 and Vero Beach $6.78. Vero Beach subsidized dues = ???

We have been paying maintenance fees at OKW since 1993. They haven't yet doubled in eighteen years, so I guess that's not too bad.
