A little over 2 months from start to finish. The longest time was waiting for the seller to return the documents - almost 1 month. Otherwise all went well. I changed my one night cash reservation at WLV to points - did not have enough for an extra night until now!

46 days until my 40th birthday trip to WDW! (The points were a birthday present from my DH)

47 days until I turn 40 at WDW

I have been lurking on this thread for ages - thanks to all of you for sharing your ROFR info. The information you have been sharing helped us tremendously when determing what price per point, etc we should pay. We just had our offer accepted for 170 points at BCV, Oct UY, 12 points banked into the 2007/2008 UY, all points coming on Oct 2007, new member, $92 per point, seller pays closing costs, seller can't close until 9/24 (we didn't want to close before the end of Sept so this worked out perfect for us). We just turned in signed contracts and sent our deposit check. Will let you know when it gets sent to disney.

FINALLY! That is wonderful news. I just love the Wilderness Lodge and that's where we have our Master Contract that took pretty long too to close. Have a terrific time at VWL and Happy Birthday (a little early).

Our points were added to our account today and we made our first reservation at Boardwalk for February 08. We were able to get a 1 Bedroom, Preferred Boardwalk View. Can't Wait!!! Also, the CM I spoke with said that they only add points to accounts on Wednesday's and Saturday's. Here is our timeline:

5/23/07 - Points Added - Made 1st Reservation.
5/21/07 - In DVC System
5/15/07 - Closed
5/11/07 - Buyer Mailed in Check and paperwork
5/10/07 - Buyer Recvd Closing paperwork
4/20/07 - Passed ROFR
4/13/07 - Submitted for ROFR

Bumbed me out a little, but I knew I was going to become a DVC member. Well with all the stripped contracts out there and the good ones going way too fast, well I JUST BOUGHT NEW TODAY!!! Should be in the system tomorrow or Friday. Guess I figured the 06 pts, 07 pts, lower close, and prorated dues, it was just worth it to take the quick and easy plunge. So here goes the happy dance!!!

DMIL already is wanting us to take her. (she was/is a hippie)

Going to make ressie for January soon.

Looks like there are contracts at OKW listed at $76/pt and the statistics I found is that the lowest pt price that passed ROFR was $75/pt. Don't rely on my word entirely. Check out the resale market and search the message boards. I though my SSR resale contract was going to clear disney ($83/pt), but it didn't. So I just bought new. Good luck.

I am waiting to hear about if we got through for OKW, I offered $85.00 A Point but it's a very small contract and I am currently not a member (I'm not sure if that would make a difference?)
I only send in the paper work yesturday so I guess I have about a two week wait.. and it's already driving me nuts thinking about it! *lol*

We are waiting to hear back from Disney on our contract. I thought I was pretty safe at $83/pt but now I am nervous. I just read above that disney bought a SSR contract at $83/pt. They sent the paperwork to Disney last Friday and we are waiting. Please send lot of Disney magic our way in hopes of a great outcome.

Yeah that was my contract. The one thing that weakened our possition was that the seller paid all 07 dues. If you have $83/pt, you pays all dues and closing, then you have a shot. It might depend on points, points banked, and coming in 07/08. It is right on the bubble.

It took us 12 days for an answer (8 weekdays). Looks like Disney is cranking through the ROFR process. I'd think you could have an answer by the 30th/31st. GOOD LUCK.

I am a Tad lat to see this list. I just put in for 70 OKW @ $80/Point. with me paying closing, Feb UY , 5 points left this year, all coming 08. If I saw this list I prob would of put it in at $85

I offered to the seller more money to bump it up to $87pp,knowing its still a long shot , but they want to leave it be, at $80 pp for BCV 250pts, 250 banked 06, an they already paid 07 dues!!! Theres no way this is gonna get by ROFR . Waiting on seller to send me the contract to sign, ,this is gonna be a big waist of time , an ink. lol but nothing ventured nothing I;ll keep ya posted an if anyone has suggestions Im all ears Thanks Dan in N.J.
