Best Thing you have done that was an Extra Cost Experiences like Dessert Parties, etc.

We have done a number of different experiences while at WDW over the years. To this point, we feel like the best experience has been the Wanyama Safari at AKL. We have also really enjoyed the Keys to the Kingdom tour and the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party. Truth be known, we have enjoyed each extra experience we have done.

I went horseback riding for the first time ever at Fort Wilderness. It was a lot of fun and the cast members were really nice. I would recommend anybody who ever wanted to go horseback riding this is the perfect opportunity to do it and the horses are very mellow.

Has anyone done the caring for giants tour at akl? A lot of the tours are for older kids but I have a 5 and 7 year old. This looks like it might be enjoyable as they love animals and it is pretty reasonable. Just curious if anyone had any feedback.
It is an easy "tour" so they would probably like it. It isn't much walking as it is a transport to close viewing area. The keepers are very very knowledgeable about the elephants, plus it lasts about an hour so just long enough for kids to enjoy, but not so long they may lose attention.

DH and I just went for the first time without kids this past weekend. We did DAH and rode just about everything in the MK in those 3 hours. The next day we did Wild Africa Trek which was an amazing experience. We also stayed club level at AKL which is an experience very different from staying at the All Stars with the kids- also worth every penny.

With the kids, we have done the Halloween Party and EMM recently.

I think the only extra we have paid for is DAH and we’ve done that twice now. It is so much fun and you get to soak in the MK atmosphere without having to fight crowds. We rode pretty much everything, met characters, and ate lots of snacks.

We have done a lot of the "extras" at this point... I have to say Early Morning Magic in MK is fantastic and a high point looking back over all of our trips. (We'll see how EMM at HS stacks up soon!). A close second is Disney After Hours. Fun snacks and TONS of rides with low crowds!

We have done a lot of great extras at WDW over the years!

- Many tours (Keys to the Kingdom 2x, Undiscovered Future World, Magic of our Steam Trains, Behind the Seeds 2x, Around the World on a Segway 2x, Fort Segway Tour, Marceline to MK.)
-Horseback riding at the Fort.
-Parasailing at the Contemporary (amazing!)
-MK dessert party for MNSSHP.
-MNSSHP snd MVMCP many times.
-Pirate and Princess Party.
-Fireworks boat cruise.
-Party for the Senses and many F&W events (love these but getting $$$.)
-Swan and Dolphin Causeway Event (well with the $.)
-Star Wars dessert party (love.)
-Sunrise Safari for AK concierge.
-Jiko wine tasting.
-E Ticket Nights (awesome and $10-$12!) So sad DAH is $$$.
-Elephant tour at AK.
-Backstage Safari.
-Highway in the Sky Dine Around (one of my favorites!)
-Headless Horseman Party.

Jingle Bell Jingle Bam Dessert Party was an unexpected highlight of our December 2017 trip. It was very organized, the reserved tables with seating, the food and beverage offerings, the interaction with Santa Goofy, and the show itself were all great. I love how we weren't rushed at all, but yet we weren't sitting around twiddling our thumbs either. We had just enough time to eat, meet Santa Goofy, and enjoy the festive VIP atmosphere before being escorted to our viewing spot. It was just great. And those glasses that turned all points of light into candy canes were so much fun we wore them even when we got home, LOL. Free Christmas decorations too. Just a really good time. I felt like we got our money's worth with that one.

Same trip, I'd say the Candlelight Processional dinner package at Biergarten was well worth it too. It was like we got two holiday shows (the band in Biergarten and then the incredible Candlelight Processional) plus an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal. We had a table right next to the dance floor in front of the band and it was great watching the kids having fun out there. We were there through two sets of the band's performance. Then, despite what seemed to be the longest line in the history of the world, we got good seats for the Processional. Neil Patrick Harris was our narrator, hence the massive crowds. It was without a doubt the most beautiful Christmas concert I've ever experienced. Amazing! And the Biergarten package is one of the least expensive of the dinner packages. I love that restaurant. It's so pretty inside, especially all done up for Christmas. And the buffet is so extensive and varied that everyone is sure to find something to eat. We thought it was very yummy!

I'd not hesitate to recommend either of these two things to anyone visiting during the Holiday Season.

Has anybody ever found someone to share the Illuminations fireworks cruise with to share the price, If so how did you go about finding them. TIA

We have only done a couple of extras but we enjoyed them:
  • Pirates and Princesses Party
  • Fishing trip from WL
  • Rented the sea racers
Next trip we will do the NYE eve MK Dessert Party Plaza view.... unless I decide to cancel it and get my money back lol.

Wild Africa trek with DD. Priceless. They did an outstanding vegan lu ch for her.

Dine with an animal expert at Sanaa, x2. First was unforgettable. This experience had just started? And we had the curator of the animal at both the park and the resorts at the time, along with one of his managers. They spent almost 3 hours answering every conceivable question. And the food at Sanaa is some of the best on property. I have eaten there many times, often solo, usually at lunch seated by the window.

Food and wine event with the executive chef from Commander’s Palace in New Orleans, arguably the number 1 restaurant in New Orleans best $75 pp ever spent. All you could eat duck dish and unlimited Anita beer. The chef was told to cook for 100 and 30 people showed up. Oh, and his cookbook was included in the price.

Behind the seeds tour. X2. Had a horticulturist guide once, an entomologist the second time, great experiences for us and our daughter who was young at the time.

Highway In The Sky Dine Around has been our favorite add on experience. Moonlight Magic events have been great too. I just booked the Ultimate Night of Adventure VIP Tour at AK for our trip in April, and the member Soarin' tour so I'm pretty excited about that!
