I read here a passing mention the Disney College Program phone interview has been eliminated.

Is this true? If so, when? Was an explanation given?

Thanks for any insight.

Outdoor Food service. She was fortunate enough to get a Disney internship 3 months into her assignment. She did not enjoy the DCP at all. Feedback from many current and priors in the locations that she worked at were that it was the worst assigned area on property. She regularly worked 12+ hour days being scheduled off and then not being able to leave until hours later when they got an “all clear”. She did get paid for these extra hours. Her shifts were often until midnight one night with having to be back in at 7am. She said it was exhausting. The only good thing out of it was the internship. Even with that, she said she would not recommend the program to anyone. Two of her three roommates with okay. But her in room roommate said she was just there for the fun and had no intentions of returning to school. My daughter went after graduating college so was 20 and felt that many participants were immature and ill equipped to take care of themselves. For example the number of participants that didn’t know how to do laundry (would just throw away their clothes, would never go to the grocery store, and didn’t understand the concept of rent and actually the need to show up for their work shift was astounding). Her college friend that also went that is assigned to attractions is enjoying his role. Her feedback is that he likes his as he is content. If your student wants to move forward and gain experience this is not a good place for them.

So sorry to hear that.

It seems Disney is struggling nowadays in so many areas.
