Dessert Parties return to the Magic Kingdom & also California Grill

Anyone know what time the Celebration at the Top: 50th Flavors & Fireworks opens for booking and if I can book online?

Do we know when the CG will allow regular dining booking reservations? Since the party is starting after Oct 1st, but its not being held inside the main dining room as they state "Guests will be welcomed to the private Sonoma and Napa Rooms at California Grill to have a selection of specialty drinks, sushi, and small plates that pay homage to the original menu from the resort’s opening in 1971!"..

but I have friends coming early November and wanted to dine at the CG and are not interested in the party...

Was considering doing the treats and seats, but wondering if its worth it with the projections on main street.

So.. I was reading all the descriptions. For the pre-party, it says you will be escorted to plaza garden for standing only viewing location. But for after party it does not including the standing only verbiage. Would you think that means after-party is seated viewing in plaza garden?

For the pre-party, you arrive 90 minutes ahead of fireworks to check in and start the dessert party right away. When you’ve had enough, someone will escort you to the plaza garden area. For the after party, you’ll be able to check in 60 minutes ahead and go straight to the plaza garden area. When the fireworks end, you’ll be able to go up to Tomorrowland terrace for desserts. Both parties will be in plaza garden together for fireworks, just eating desserts at different times.

Edit: there are no seats in the plaza garden for anyone, but some people sit on the ground. (From past experience)

Thank you. Thats what I recalled and figured. Tough choice. I'm tempted to do one of them but would prefer seated and don't want to miss out on the projections. Guess I'll have to choose standing with partial projection view or seated with limited to no view of projections.

I believe in the past these could only booked online, and not in the app. Is that correct?

Does anyone have any insight from past parties how large of a group you are able to book? And are the tables pre-assigned? So if you split up group booking would you still be able to sit at tables close to one another?

I wonder if you can only make these reservations 60 days in advance. I’m looking for December.
I was wondering the same thing. I already am getting sweaty palms thinking about trying to do ADRs at the same time as one of these parties. Which gets preference?!

Hopefully someone here will be able to clarify whether the 60 days advance booking is in effect here or not. I hate to call and waste my morning tomorrow for nothing. Lol

Heads up for the 6am crowd tomorrow...The system populated SH71 reservations at 5:30am this morning. It looks like I will be up at 2:30am (AZ Time) to see if I can snag a after-party on the 4th....Disney is not kind to their westerly time zoned guests.
Thanks for the tip! Am trying for the Cali Grill party tomorrow am.

I apologize because this is probably a stupid question:

When they are saying that reservations open on September 17th, do those reservations typically open up at 6:00am along with all the other reservations for the day? Or are debut reservations like this typically later in the day?

Thanks!

Not stupid! And yes, if ADRs open on a given day, they open with all the others at 6:00 AM.
