I GOT MY PHOTO DVD!!!
So I will be working on my Wedding TR! I thought I would go ahead and just recount the week prior to the wedding to just kind of set the tone of the wedding and then it will be PHOTO OVERLOAD!
AND I can finally type again after prying off my acrylic nails! Never again! Those buggers hurt! And totally ruined my natural nails..
I didn't take too many pictures throughout the week of being home, and really not much of the rehearsal either!! ( I know!! FOR shame!!) But I will post as many pictures as I have!!
ONCE UPON A TIME....
Weekend of November 4th-6th
I had worked a grueling 5am-2pm shift all week at work stocking groceries, which is not in my job description by the way... but it was nice to get out of work a little earlier, so I could deal. It wore me out. I was scared I was going to get sick and was passing out from exhaustion every night. Long story short on the job situation- they still hadn't approved my time off for the wedding and honeymoon...
And with it being retail they downright refused to give me Thanksgiving or Christmas days off... so Thomas just said quit, we can make it work- I want you home with me to spend the holidays with family and friends, I want to have my first holidays with my wife!
So needless to say, it didn't take much convincing.. but I am on the job outs again.. but hopefully have some prospects in Jan!
So originally a good friend from MB and my sister-in-law had been planning a bachelorette party for me in Charleston, which was scheduled to take place that Saturday on the 5th. I had no idea what we were doing or who was coming. So rewind to Thursday night. I get a text message from one of my friends in MB saying to call her as soon as I can, and that she really needed to tell me something. So naturally I was kinda worried, so she was online and I tried to talk with her and text her, but she insisted I call. So I call- and come to find out the ladies were coming to Charleston on FRIDAY night not SAT as originally planned, and they were going to surprise me and take me out. So basically she was "trying" to be a good friend by ruining the surprise my SIL and BFF along with Thomas had been planning all along. Thomas caught the tail end of the convo. and he was NOT happy.. I hadn't seen him that mad in a long time. So he texted my SIL and BFF and told them basically the surprise was ruined and that I already know. Not exactly sure how it went down, but they were both pissed... and my SIL ended up uninviting the one girl. Which she was very immature about it, and was not very nice in response. DRAMA!
FRIDAY- NOVEMBER 4TH
Regardless, I will still super excited about seeing everyone (even though I still didn't know who was coming) and didn't know what we were doing! So fast forward to Friday night my SIL, BFF, good friend from MB, and good friend from Charleston knock at my door. The "girl who shall not be named" was a running joke throughout the night, and I did try to act super surprised when they got to the door..
SIL-Asriel
BFF- Jamie
Stephanie- AKA Nie (Charleston Buddy)
Chrissy (MB Buddy)- She is on the left
I was of course instructed to be dressed in a feather boa, naughty necklaces, my minnie bridal ears, and several inappropriate bracelets of the naughty kind. (I have pictures... just can't find them! Will update when I get them!)
So for now, you can just imagine it... haha
Now I am not one for bars or clubs or drinking and such, and not really good with big crowds of people and am actually a little shy around other guys- so this bachelorette party was very chill and just my style!
We ended up going to my favorite Chinese restaurant where we enjoyed good food and good conversation. It was fun to reconnect with the girls
again.
Next up was a Ghost tour! Charleston is very historic and one of the top haunted cities in the US. Dinner ran a little longer than expected, so we actually ended up almost missing the ghost tour. We apparently waited too long because the only tour left was "The Dark Side of Charleston- Prostitution, Drugs, & Murder" which sounded interesting enough, and was a 18+ tour so we thought it would be good.
It was freakishly cold that night, so a walking tour downtown for 2 hours wasn't the BEST idea.. but unfortunately the tour matched the weather- cold, and not enjoyable. I think I actually was falling asleep at one stopping point... Very bland and hardly anything about ghosts!! WE WANTED TO BE SCARED!!
so would not recommend that one!
They other tours are typically good though! We laughed and made our own commentary so it was a good time either way!
It was almost 1 am by the time we made it back to my house we said our goodbyes and all but my SIL left as she was staying with us for the night, we relaxed and enjoyed time on the couch and just hung out with Thomas.
All in all it was an awesome night with great friends, and honestly I couldn't have asked for a better night!
SATURDAY-NOVEMBER 5TH
Remember Remember the 5th of November... (Guy Fawkes, V for Vendetta... good movie by the way)
We just lounged Saturday morning and spent time with my SIL before she headed back the beach. Nothing too eventful. One memory that sticks out for me was on the drive back home Thomas looked at me and said, " I can't to marry you and call you my wife."
I just about melted in my chair, it was all becoming so real!
SUNDAY-NOVEMBER 6TH
This was my last day/night in Charleston as a free woman. I made a nice breakfast of pumpkin waffles and bacon and we went to downtown with my husky and spent the majority of the day just walking down old streets and getting lost in conversation. We ate our last dinner in Charleston together and I packed up the car for the last journey to MB the next morning as a single lady! Thomas was going to stay behind and work Monday and Tuesday and be off Wednesday to pick up my family from Texas and then meet us in Myrtle Beach.
UP NEXT! WEDDING WEEK!!
