I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

Awesome thank you so much. I knew about the taxes but didn’t realize I could book one way and then have it adjusted—that’s great. I may even try to use it for Egypt if we go through with that trip but like you said easy for us to use with all the London trips. Thank you!!!
You're welcome! I have done it a couple of times that way successfully and according to DPs on FT from late last year it looks like it still works.

what was this ? Is it long gone?
If you have an annual pass and shop at Disney owned shops, the discount was 20%. I first realized it as I was buying a $69 hoodie for my dog sitter in DHS. I wasn't really watching for stuff as I just open up my app and show my profile which has disney visa, dvc and annual pass. The old guy waiting on me says the ap is 20%, we will use that so from then on, I paid more attention.

Wondering whether the $95 annual fee is still worth paying on the old Chase Ink Plus. Initially it was valuable as the rewards limit is higher than other Inks, but now the ability to hold multiple Inks essentially negates that benefit. And the PYB benefit is not especially useful. Am I missing a reason to keep the card? Or should I finally let it go?

Do you have another card to transfer UR's to partners with if this card is a transfer card? I just assumed it is since it has an annual fee.

I've been keeping my CSP as it has the $50 hotel credit making it a transfer card for half that fee. Once it hits 4 years, I'll adjust my strategy and reapply.

Same thing I read and I'm surprised it made it to the site. But then, maybe I shouldn't be.

I was about to jump on it until I saw the warning.

Me too. I was watching the comments last night and then this morning there was more warnings on doc and r/churning. Along with debate since apparently the link has been around for months and some think if chase wanted to get rid of it they could have.

I did the 30% off spend $100 on pet stuff at Amazon about 5 weeks ago and my credit arrived. Spent it this morning seamlessly.

Now Doc says it's back again. It's my time to restock my stuff for my gazillion pets (feels like it but in truth 3 cats and the mean yorkie) so I'm going for it again. Other option would be getting in the car and heading to Target or Petsmart so Amazon wins.

The risk isn't worth it to me. Have property tax payments coming up in June, July and August that will cover the $6k MSR, so I have to wait several weeks to apply anyways.

Back from Vegas where we stayed at the Hilton Elara on timeshare exchange. This is the trip that I wanted the painful Wyndham biz card for. Caesar's status match turned out to be painless. Wyndham Diamond showed up the day after approval and Caesar's match only took 6 days. I didn't end up using the benefits as much as I'd hoped though.

- Thought we'd have to pay for parking at the Elara for $18/day. They share a parking garage with Planet Hollywood, so parking would have been free with Caesar Diamond. But then turned out we didn't have to pay for Elara parking on exchange.
- Thought I'd get the $100 celebration dinner, but it never showed up in my account. Was told that with status matches, you only get it after 100 credits. From what I could find, that's true EXCEPT for match from Wyndham Diamond. 🤷‍♀️

- We did get free parking visiting other Caesar's resorts and saved $100.
- Got 2 free tickets to the High Roller Wheel. This is once a month, so I thought I could stack for our group, getting 2 in March and 2 in April. But nope, they expire 3 days after you get the voucher OR end of the month, so no way to use 2 month's worth at once. Thought I was being so smart, but the casinos are smarter lol.
Are you doing the matching for the cruise offers? Debating if it's worth getting this card just for that, as I've been denied by every other issuer lately.

I plan to look into that, but I got the card for Vegas thinking we'd save $400 (turned out to be $180). I'm not sure if the cruise offers will work for us though being tied to the school schedule. Plus I tend to be picky about the ship and itinerary.

I am an idiot! I saw the mention of the link and went for it without seeing the warning. BUT, for once my failure to unfreeze my credit worked in my favor. I will just let the application die rather than call and have them run it.

We are looking at doing England next May/June but I saw they have a bank holiday the week of Memorial Day. Is that something we should avoid and go in June instead?

I wouldn't see the bank holiday weekend as something you should actively avoid. Actually, there might even be some fun events going on.

Just be aware of possible reduced public transportation service on the Monday - similar to Sunday schedules though.

It looks like schools have that whole week off for spring term (if I’m looking at it correctly) so I didn’t know if that would make everything busier that whole week. We were thinking maybe we would go the week after

Yes that's a good point. Schools will be off that week so I guess some touristy stuff will be busier that week - don't think it should be a dealbreaker, but I guess if it is easy to switch to the following week that may be the better option.

Just be aware that flights from the US to UK at the end of the bank holiday week may be more difficult to get with UK folks travelling home (esp from Florida and Atlanta)

So I just had major surgery; this eviction was long overdue and I am at home recovering well. As a gift to ourselves, we'd like to buy a new king mattress. I'd love to hear any suggestions.
My mom just bought two Saatvas—a queen classic luxury firm and a king classic plush. She had $600 off codes for both. I slept two nights on the queen and it was great. My mom seems to like hers as well.

That’s true. I didn’t think about that. We’ve been looking at flying Houston to Manchester with Singapore and there seems to be a lot of availability
