It seems like it, but it's not really if it's trying to be equitable to the movie theater. Think about if you have a family of four going to the movies: That's two adult tickets at (I'll be generous with ticket prices) $12.50, and two kids tickets at $8.50, so that's already $42 in tickets already, and now the kids want popcorn and such. It definitely works for the family that way. Usually with these you can watch it multiple times during the viewing window too. Now, for me, alone, the cost is high and I'd rather wait until I could buy the Bluray for $20, but I can certainly see some poeple going for it.
