parking question

I was wondering if the parking lot was an open lot that just anyone can go into or is it a locked secured lot or parking garage?

It is a large open lot that is fenced in with a entry gate where you pay when you first park your car. It is located just across from the port enterance building for DCL and is for use only for DCL passangers. Since the time that they increased security at the port their are security people on constant patrol in all of the port areas. The only time people are allowed in the parking lot areas is when they are boarding passangers or when passangers are leaving the ship. When you leave the ship you go to your car and just exit the lot, you do not go thru any security gate where you need to show proof that you were onboard the ship. I did notice a few weeks ago when we were leaving this parking lot that they did have several security vehicles driving around the lot when people were leaving.

Parking fee is $10.00 per day for vehicles up to 20 feet in length and $20.00 per day for vehicles over 20 feet. The total amount for the time the vehicle is to be parked must be paid in full upon entering the parking area. Visa, MasterCard, Traveler's Checks issued in U.S. dollars and Cash are accepted in payment of fees. All fees stated above are subject to change without notice by Canaveral Port Authority.
