A quick update on my contract below. The listing didn’t mention any 2023 points and did list 500 in 2024 but when Disney posted the points a few days ago, there were 250 points there for UY 2023! I only had a few weeks to use them and had no personal use for them but was able to rent 247 of them out though at distressed prices.

Revised below:
PointsCentric---$125-$34138-250-PVB-Mar-0/22, 250/23, 500/24, 250/25- sent 12/29, passed 1/11
Congrats, 250 is awesome! The contract I’m in the process of buying at poly has 2023 banked into 2024, really hope that’s the case for us as need them points!

You’re lucky. We fly Delta just about everywhere as I can rack up a boatload of miles through business travel and AmEx spend, plus companion tickets.

However…. The DW won’t fly anything but Hawaiian to HI and that’s apparently non-negotiable. She likes being “on vacation” as soon as she gets on the plane, even though it’s barely a 5-hour flight from LAX. The HA Barclays card is junk, and because all of our other travel is on Delta, there’s just no practical way to get any discounts on our Aulani airfare.
Well…. You know who is buying Hawaiian Airlines….

Also, unless things have changed Hawaiian hasn’t had WiFi on the planes…. I know they were supposed to be installing StarLink, but I’m not sure if that has happened yet.

I’m sure with the Alaska takeover they’ll have WiFi on everything. T-Mobile is free WiFi with Alaska.

Alaska is a really decent award program, and they have a great CC if you’re looking for Alaska travel.

Provided it doesn’t change with the Alaska takeover, you can book Hawaiian with JetBlue for decent mileage redemptions. You can exchange AMEX points for JetBlue, though I recommend Sapphire UR since the redemption rate is better. Also with Sapphire Reserve, you can redeem points to book on their portal and points redeemed have 50% more value (worth 1.5 instead of 1). Flights booked on their portal still earn mileage.

She likes BLT. Super close to MK, large rooms with lots of bathrooms, low ppp, low dues, no long hallways…. and a much kinder point chart than VGF…

I

Ooh...so maybe a good option if you keep getting targeted during ROFR. Ha!

I go back and forth on BLT. Sometimes I think I might want to try a stay there and other times I think it seems like a concrete wasteland.

I miss Jet Blue flying into Long Beach….

It’s a tower and not a true “resort” IMO…. but the electric parade from the Lake View rooms at night are really fun and obviously the Theme Park Views give you a view of MK.

If they get the refurb right on the theming the prices will pop, IMO. The location, dues, and room layouts are too good for it not to.

Have you tried telling her that Delta operates wide body jets with international style biz seats to HNL? Not sure that will save you money in the end, but we’ve been able to use our regional upgrade certs with decent success to Hawaii.
Man... y'all are in as we say in the south "high cotton"!

No status on any airline. In fact, in my 50+ years, I've never been in an airline lounge... that is on the bucket list. I did upgrade the eastbound Comfort+ TA tickets on DL last year to London for our Princess British Isles cruise to Premium Select, and unfortunately, now I think I am spoiled at least for transatlantic flights.

That said, we've mostly just taken Southwest to Honolulu (and Kona) and been fine. Last year, we went after a short stay at DL and went out of LGB for the first time. That was SOOOOO much easier than LAX.

Very nice price. I was trying to get some contracts to bite around that price and no one took it. Nice Job!
Lots of offers were declined. This one's for my grandbaby's 2nd bday at Disney. He's 11 months, so by the time all is settled, I can bank the 2023 pts and give him a bday party with my hubby and daughter. Hoping all goes fine. I have grandbaby fever with a tight budget. Grateful the sellers thought it over and then contacted the broker two days later. SO grateful.

We usually fly Hawaiian as well, though last month our 7:00AM flight had to taxi back from the runway, and debark us all into the terminal while they took three hours to fix some issue. Their onboard meals are pretty bad too, but the no change fees are helpful, as is the fact that your miles never expire.

The purchase of that BWV does not make any mathematical sense. That person is over $16 a point after dues added in.
This was a little old, but I just put an offer on BWV & now you got me scared. Is BWV any different than BRV or other for $130 or more pp? (what math did you use to get to $16?)
